Oh geez...that doesn't look good.. It could also be lymphatic fluid or pus...I think the metacril would be encased in collagen by now (after a few weeks, it's usually trapped in there). Anyway, I think you definitely need to be evaluated by a doctor in person so you can get on the right medications to clear this up. I'm not sure what is prescription or what is available over-the-counter in your country, but even if it was all freely available - a doctor should look at it and perhaps even take a culture to see exactly what bacteria it is.

Red, pain and pus, really suggest infection. I know these are also typical symptoms of a foreign body reaction, but I think it's more likely the open wound allowed an infection in. I just don't understand how the hole originally happened or why Dr N injected more, when the wound had barley healed over.

My guess would be that you've have an injection in there for a couple of months. When my friend, Mikehok, had PLGA scaffolds, he had a similar reaction from an infection, but not for 2 months after surgery.

But you need to see a Dr in the morning. I probably wouldn't let them drain it though, until you've spoken to someone like Dr C or Prof Lemperle.

The body tried to get rid of these things through the easiest exit. So if you have a hole that has just healed that is where it would come out.

How did the hole initially occur? Is it at the point where Dr N said she hit a vein? Was she using a needle or cannula? Was she aware that the hole was there and had just healed before your last round?

Metacrill's carrier would have absorbed by now so there is no way you are seeing the expulsion of the original product the Doctor injected.

Again, I stress I don't really know what I'm talking about, but it sounds to me like she's at fault here. It seems like she left a hole if your skin, that she caused. An infection got in and then she still injected more PMMA. Did you tell her about the leakage after the second round? Surely if she was aware that weeks after the procedure it was leaking from the hole she made, she's have suspected an infection.

If I were you I'd write a very detailed account to Prof Lemperle. Explain exactly what happened and how it feels. Obviously include photos. In fact it might be a good idea to copy the email into a post here, before you send it, so we can check it for you.

The dr in Prague said to get oxacilin but the dr in the uk said that are not available here so gave me something similar ciprofloxacin 500 mg antibiotics 2 tablets a day per 14 days , plus bactroban cream.

Did the Dr examine you? Why did they say?
