PMMA nodule causing swelling plus more info
9 years 2 months ago #1295652917I have a Nodule right side underneath penis. So that is what is causing the swelling. I contacted Dr C he said he has a few options I can get Kenalog injection he says he thinks it's granula (not sure if that's how it's spelled) I'm typing quickly on my phone. He said shot can make it go down and stop it from swelling in he future. He also mentioned allopurinol. He is sending me information by email. He says he knows a Dr in Florida that can give me the shot instead of traveling to him. Florida is too far. But then I remembered seeing a Dr mentioned on this forum I think Dr Alter he says yes he knows about him. And suggested I go to him for he shot. He also mentioned a third option which is to remove it (the "Nodule") but says that option should be last if other options do not work. I also asked him about dmso but he says he doesn't know much about it. He says he's only read about it.
While typing I got an email from him here is his recommendation
1) Kenalog injections (locally), every month or so, until the desired effect happens.
2) A combination oral treatment of allopurinol and prednisone.
- Allopurinol (Zyloprim) at a dose of 100 mg daily for 30 days, plus
- Prednisone, 35 mg first day, reducing 5 mg per day. This is a one-week treatment.
3) Surgical excision of the lesion

9 years 2 months ago #1295654232Dr C suggested Dr Alter and said that I can mention it was him that injected the PMMA I am in NYC so it's easier since Dr Alter has an office there.hoddle10 wrote: Personally I'd email Prof Lemperle and ask if he knows anyone in NY who can inject you. I don't have his email address anymore but you could probably find it on google. He'll have way more contacts than Dr C.

I'm pretty sure you had 20cc of Linnea Safe.

Re: PMMA nodule causing swelling plus more info
9 years 2 months ago #1295657677More information is needed here. First of all you are assuming that the swelling of the whole penis is because of the relatively small Nodule. Secondly, you have been experiencing swelling before when masturbating. Is the swelling slight, fairly so or much swollen? Soft, tender, painful? How does it compare to the swellings before, how does it look and feel in the particular area of the Nodule? Not concerned about the swelling before?
You know, there are quite some of us who are holding back because PMMA is permanent, difficult to remove (reverse) and there are issues. We are all "eyes and ears" now when someone like yourself comes up with updates like these. Please, you must be specific and explicit, filtering out the assumptions and conjectures so that our researches are appropriately informed.
There is already a thread "PMMA swelling after sex" or something like that, which would have been better "merged with yours for easier reference.
Good luck anyhow ...

Re: PMMA nodule causing swelling plus more info
9 years 2 months ago #1295661044I have stopped using the bio oil and will see what happens within the next week. If it's fine I will wait it out and still get the injection whenever Dr Alter is in NYC or I will try dmso but I need more info on that or more people to explain if it helped their nodules. I don't have any pain during the swelling by the way. I'm almost 100 % sure it's the Nodule causing the swelling.
