Among the Sponsors here Dr. Solomon and Dr. Carney are both great options. Dr. Solomon especially experienced with this specific situation. If you go to the Doctors Forum (look at the top of the page, or use the menu button on mobile) and scroll down to each respective Sponsor's section --> inside should have their contact/website information.

Non-Sponsors I'd recommend include Dr. Alter or Dr. Gelman.

If it were you, and you were more interested in getting a restored/improved penis from the Dr. Elist mess, whom would you choose

I know Dr Solomon has removed many Elist implants. He's a reputable Dr with lots of experience. That's pretty much all you can ask for in your situation. In reality, there aren't going to many Dr's in the US who have lots of experience removing these implants. Most get it removed by Elist and if not, the go to Dr's are Alter and Solomon.

Personally, from what I've witnessed over the years, it seems to me, the key to success with the implant Removal process, is more in the hands of the patient themselves and their devotion to post op therapy, such a stretching, pumping and the application of scar softening chemicals.

It's the rigid silicone implant Dr. Elist uses, I believe the name is more-or-less for branding/marketing.

Hey Guys,

So I had my Penuma implant at the end of August 2019 (10 months now) and plan to get it removed next month.

I just couldn't deal with the protrusions (literally a silicone piece sticking out the left side of the penis) and the sharp edges formed by the capsules at the end of the implants underneath the penis head. My fiance mentioned she could feel it during intercourse and was disappointed.

Also the base of the penis was way too bulky and made my penis look like a bowling pin.

My main concern is the posts that mention after Removal, that Erection length is lost by 1-2 inches. Is this true even after an extended period of time?
I know that much like when the implant is inserted, Dr. Elist uses Sutures to intentionally hold back the penis so that the incision on the pubic area (where the implant is inserted/taken out) doesn't rip open during an Erection. That retraction loosened up for me after about 4 months and I was wondering if its the same process when the implant is removed since you still technically need to keep the incision line from opening during Erection


If the loss of Erection length after Removal is permanent I would rather not get it removed and just get an adjusted implant like Dr. Elist suggested...

Sooo....I'm in the same boat as you, but I've had both testicular and penile implants from Elist for 2 years now. I just had a Zoom consultation with Dr .Joel Gelman in Cali. He wouldn't say specifically how many Elist victims he has fixed, but I know from Phalloboard chats it's more than a few. My overall impression is that I trust him to do the job and take care to do whatever he can to minimize scarring, etc. For me right now it's a money issue as my insurance (Blue Cross) is out of his network. Gelman certainly has the credentials and expertise. He's also listed on the Castle Connolly website as a top doctor ( www.castleconnolly.com )

Can any other Dr. Elist victims chime in here? Considering Dr. Elist has lost my trust, who would you recommend to have his implants removed?

I had gelman remove PMMA, as much as he could. He is nice, a straight shooter. He also seems confident and does not get your hopes up. He basically will tell you most of his pts leave in better condition than when they first saw him. However he also tells u that your penis will never looks 100 percent normal after surgery. He will try his best. I am currently planning on a second surgery to try to rid my penis of more PMMA. It is probably an impossible feat.

I had Elist remove it (BIG MISTAKE). Then went to Dr. Solomon to fix his mistakes from the Removal.

Are you looking and or feeling like you may restore length?

I hope so. It will take time and potentially more procedures, stretching, etc.

This is an old post to BUMP. I want to throw my 2 cents on it. I see Dr Carney for anything that relates to my Penis. As a urologist and a surgeon who actively practices i felt this was best for me. So short flights are worth the comfort.
That said, being and active surgeon in "THIS FIELD" and a urologist, I would with certainly consult with him directly for any needs like this.
