TOPIC: List of equipment and/or supplies for your pmma treatment.

Checklist of items to prepare for a PMMA journey:

-Passport or passport ID card and other pertinent documents.

-Tell your cell carrier of your travel intent for roaming.

-Laptop for not only communication but also (in the interest of aftercare), porn viewing to maintain Erection. Need to stay extended as long as possible before PMMA sets.

-Comfortable travel clothes and possibly even sweatpants for day of surgery. Trunks for the jacuzzi before surgery.

-All day stretch (ADS) device ie ESL40 or similar for use prior to and even after PMMA. No items that will wrap too tight and shift the PMMA!

-Cash for any unexpected costs other than food. IE botox or dysport (thanks Resto) , esl40 sold at office, PRP treatment, local pharmacy, et cetera...

-Items for topical or ingested use (personal preferences notwithstanding current +/- research articles)

Nothing for massaging, just gloved hands on clean skin.
Arnica cream or gel for pain and swelling? (controversial)
Coconut oil for massaging? (controversial)
Neosporin or Bacitracin antibiotic ointments for massaging, but try to not block entry points? 9controversial)
Rx Flomax (relaxes muscles for lower Hanging penis and scrotum)
Collagen 1,3. (Has been shown as not efficient for post PMMA collagen formation, but your hair and nails will look awesome!)
Vitamins C, E, D3, Niacin...
Herbal supps like ginseng, longjack, (this stuff makes me horny so I like it...keeps a good chubby, and with Cialis wow!
Rx from home for antibiotics (I have Amoxicillin 500mg tabs x 30 at 1 three times per day for 10 days) (vs paying for shot)
Rx from home for Cialis 2.5 or 5mg daily dose (or purchase at your risk in TJ)
Motrin or Advil (ibuprofen) either 800mg tabs or take 4x 200mg tabs twice a day for 5 days. (vs paying for shot)
Water from SD airport before crossing. How many bottles per day of stay is up to you.
Liquid bandage (got this from CHL's PMMA rd1 HA HA) if it's clinic's policy (check first) but perhaps best to let it ooze out and not block entry points with creams, gels, or plastics or it can lead to Nodule formation.? (CONTROVERIAL)
Latex or nitrile gloves, box of 50 (thx Resto) for massaging on clean dry skin
Maxipads or tampons to cut up for absorption of leakage at injection sites (thanks again Resto) never thought I'd use these!
4x4 sterile gauze
Alcohol wipes
Lysol wipes for wiping down room if warranted (probably will be)
Take small bills if possible (1's 5's 10's)
Don't eat salads or sandwiches or drink unbottled water
Antibacterial liquid soap (Hibiclens...)
Zantac or probiotic to help stomach adjust
Order room service once at your hotel, and keep the steak knife during stay for self defense. Return it when checking out.

you are missing a few things: kevlar vest, gold chains, a rosarie, a star of david, antiseptic spray, tomahawk, an armored vehicle...etc etc etc. Listen newb you got the comfortable clothes right and the usually hygienic practices like sterile wrapping, sterile 2x2s, first aid tape. All those supplements are crap and a waste of consumer money and time. You are better off soliciting to Pirelli's miracle elixir. Trust me, I too solicited to those stupid supplements before I received my education in the sciences. You are probably like 1/2 of the PMMA cadets who jump the gun before doing any hard academic research from peer reviewed material (its ok, the paranoid ignorance will only cost you money). If the phrase peer reviewed journals is a foreign phrase to you, trust us then you are probably a newb. Do these 4 things and you'll have a reasonably healthy outcome with your procedure: do not smoke, get plenty of sleep, and do not eat any unhealthy foods, and more importantly do not manipulate the entry points (practice good clinical hygiene). -The arnica cream was hard to find, so I bought the gel...works the same way.

-I read somewhere that liquid bandage is good so that the PMMA doesn't leak out of the holes. You can still massage the pecker as directed and even shower. I'll use that if needed.

- Not sure about the cost of Cialis in the TJ pharmacies, so I used a trial voucher from Lily that gave me 30 free tabs of 2.5 or 5 mg, or three 20 or 30 mg tabs. Of course, I chose the 30 tabs and picked the 5mg for daily dosage. The voucher I received expired on 12/31/2015, so the timing was perfect. For you guys that would like to save on that, they have a current coupon for $200 off 30 pills, but it will still cost you 100 bucks still for the 10 that you will have to buy.

-I'm a veteran, and my VA clinic won't do Cialis or Levitra, just Viagra, and only one pill at a time!!! So I got the 100mg one to split for two doses as an adjunct to the Cialis.

Well, this is what I was looking for, some truly good suggestions that can help other "newbs" as well as me. I have a box of nitrile gloves at home that I can take. They look and feel like latex ones.
Ok, scratch the arnica and the liquid bandage. I read that it helped a couple of guys but the Nodule thing scares me.
I like the idea of the flatter maxipads. Tampons are too rounded and won't lay well. That's a good one!
I can get alcohol and Lysol wipes and anti-bacterial soap easily. Didn't think about that or wiping down a TJ room.
Yeah, I read about the collagen supps not doing much, but I had to try it myself to know for sure. My hair and nails sure seem different though. But I understand that it doesn't do much for collagen formation in tissue Repair in excess of what the body does. I probably won't get another bottle after this one runs out.
Didn't think about drinking water!!!
I'll ask Dr. C about Flomax, PRP, and botox to help keep my pecker extended while healing, and I'll use the esl40 since it only grabs the glans. Don't want to put pressure on the shaft and move that PMMA around too much.
Mustn't forget the passport or other documents.

Shalom ach sheli. Sometimes I forget theres a unique learning curve in this hobby/PMMA lifestyle. Keep your bills small, I visit Tj monthly. Its a fun city, the irony though is that its cheaper to buy a 1 liter bottle of coke vs a 1 liter bottle of water. Do not drink shower water by accident, avoid salads and sandwiches. If you are flying in to SD i would recommend taking a Zantac and daily probiotic, it'll help you adjust. I've made some recommendation in this forum of great places to eat. Cinapolis is an awesome movie theater that plays super cheap movies. King Tut may still be in town at the cultural museum. Like Restoration and I previously mentioned, do not get into the habit of manipulating or playing with the entry points, keep that area dry and clean. If you know how to wrap'n splint a soft tissue injury from your military training, I would recommend the same wrapping skill set. keep the wrap snug but not loose, change dressing every 8-12hrs, daily at min. For got to mention, Ley market tends to offer reasonably priced viagra and ed medication, the yellow and red lettered 24/7 pharmacy franchise is a rip-off, if you have a cost co card, cost co is a inexpensive alternative. The pharmacy that Casavantes uses is a rip-off, they inflate the cost of their medications. If you ever encounter a life threatening emergency the number to dial is 611 provided you have a local telcel or moviestar cell. You'll experience roaming depending on your carrier, but most of the time i can receive and send out texts to friends in the states. Salud

I usually carry a knife on me at all times, but since I'm not checking baggage this trip, I can't take mine with me. Most likely I'll be holed up in the room anyway doing my massaging routine as I've read is needed after surgery, so room service is what I'll be doing most, and watching videos.

I was thinking about going for a week and scheduling my appointment towards the end so I could run around for a bit if I'm gonna be there anyway.

Are you driving in to Tj? If so, I always carry a 4inch pocket knife and pepper spray gel. One time 2 years back, I had drive my vehicle into secondary inspection crossing back into the states. the border agent asked if I had anything dangerous. I informed him I keep a pocket knife on me from my days in EMS and pepper spray gel because I don't want some Tijuana drug addict to attempt to mug me. He chuckled and asked me to place the two items on my dash board. Walked around my vehicle a second time, opened my trunk and flashed his light on my read seats. Then handed me my passport id and wished me a safe trip back to my city. Bottom line, it may provide a sense of false security or mild deterrent, but when 15 year olds in zona rio are executing people with ak-47 style assult rifles a 4 Inch pocket knife isn't going to do shit. Bullets very commonly do not hit their intended target in mexico at the cost of the innocent. Staying in your hotel is a safe bet, too safe for my comfort level with the city. If you take a taxi to plaza rio mall you'll find plenty of places to eat and beautiful latinas who will be starring at your gringo bulge with moderate fascination. Bueno suerte AstroD

with at&t soon after being there you'll get the warning that you just crossed over to mexico. Usually the same day after a few texts I get a warning that I'm approaching $100 in overage fees on data. Which I'm not but they did offer me the first two times a 15g data add on for like $30 so we took it. Now we have 30gb of data for $100 a month permanent. Well soon to be $75 after they give us a postal discount.

Are you thinking of getting botox at avanti? You need to get a lot of clarity on whether they are giving you botox or dysport. They kept calling it botox, but they gave me dysport...which actually looks more natural, in my opinion (I learned through this situation of accidentally getting dysport) - but I saved no money from doing it in the USA - because 10 units of Botox is roughly equivalent to 25 units of Dysport. I didn't know that - so I thought I was getting all this cheap dysport. I wasn't - it's just a more dilute product.

Wade told me another time botox is less than half the price in TJ than in the usa - but maybe something got confused when I was there. They charged my credit card (I told my cc company i would be in mexico) and it was fine. Not sure if they still do that or require cash.

CHL is right - the shower water tastes like salty chemicals. I got a few drops in my mouth - yuck. That's why I like hibiclens (chlorohexidine) because even if the water isn't 100% clean, hibiclens will everything and keep killing even after you rinse.

The grand hotel has filtered water on a separate tap, but I didn't trust it much. I bought water in san diego and then just put it in the shuttle. Everyone in TJ knows americans like to drink bottled water, and the hotel bellman helped me load it to the cart every time and bring it up. It cost $5-6 for a few gallons on the san diego side. Also, i brought my own snacks (granola, cereal, pop tarts). I just have a sensitive stomach so I didn't want to have the runs while having a bloody Dick.

Oh let me correct one thing - I do agree those collagen pills do something after a couple weeks. My beard was much thicker and grew in much faster (I shave, but it was like 5'oclock shadow at 11 am). The reaction in your penis isn't directly unrelated to this kind of collagen. There's no harm, if your stomach is ok with those pills. The brand I bought required you to take 6 pills a day on an empty stomach, and it was annoying and caused some indigestion. I don't think it affects the PMMA process...but who knows.

Well, I read about botox in another thread so if they offer it to me, why not? It'll let my Balls and Dick hang down better without the anxiety of it retracting all the time like it does. That's also why I'm taking my trusty ESL40. Also, it'll be fun to see what I look like hung, since my ball sack is always up there as if they never dropped.

I understand the reasoning around keeping the entry holes clean and clear of exudate, either your own plasma or PMMA carrier, so as not to plug up the holes and get nodules later. But I read somewhere that this is the exact reason nodules form, because as the carrier runs out of the hole, PMMA runs along with it and collects at the exit and builds up there, hence the nodules.

Elsewhere I read that by stopping the spigot, so to speak, with that liquid bandage stuff, the PMMA and carrier pretty much stay in place where it was put and one has less chance of Nodule formation. Also, if nodules form, they most likely will resolve over time, so I'm not so worried about it, but I'd like to keep as much product in my weenie as possible since I'm paying so much for it.

Which idea makes more sense or has more science to it?

I'm an advocate of liquid bandage + eugenol as a prophylactic against opportunistic infections. The new skin has a mild antiseptic, it also has a very dilute concentration of eugenol, it helps keep the area dry and maintains the product inside my Dick versus having any microliter of PMMA carrier spewing from my entry points. Its probably more lymphocytes and plasma than PMMA+carrier, but unless we collect some of the leaking fluid and run a series of simple test we won't know. If I was running an experiment I would have n=30 participants, monitor & collect from their leaking entry point fluids over a 24hr period until true coagulation aids in the closing of the wound. Centrifuge and pellet the liquid, the protein fragments and cells will collect in the bottom of the conical tube. I would then pipet out the remaining fluid, run a spectroscopy assay on the fluid collected against a positive control (a set dilute concentration of the PMMA+carrier at either 0.001% or 0.0001%). Spectroscopy would be an inexpensive analysis to possibly confirm PMMA being present. I would have to check with my physical chemist friends on that. At any rate, lets assume that a few microliters of the PMMA+carrier leaks out by not using liquid skin, then I would be more personally motivated to use a conservative amount of liquid skin. Now their maybe the opinion that obstructing the entry points with a thin layer of liquid skin runs the risk of nodules, but from my experience when Casavantes switched from using the micro-cannula to large bore needle I developed nodules. Entry points near the circumference area were more prominent vs, the entry points at the base. I would insist on entry points along the base and mid shaft vs that of the circumference area. This is my personal preference. New skin stings very mildly on initial application and gave me more mobility to get things done while i was recovering. Its my clinical opinion that proper wrapping technique and were the entry points occur will minimize any negative cosmetic outcomes. If you want to chat privately AstroD, I'm free next week.
