They called me telling me that the Dr.C will not be in that week after already making deposit and also booking non-refundable flight and hotel package of $700. I believe things happen for a reason so maybe this is a blessing that I'm not going in for this 5th round, but am frustrated with them cancelling after booking everything. Paid hotwire.com with Amex credit card, wonder if I can file chargeback to recoop money. Any one have a good reason to say why I'm filing chargeback?
Did you tell Dr C's office this? They should at the very least offer to knock whatever you've spent off you next procedure. In fact, in my opinion, they should offer to refund your expenses. This is totally their fault.

Re: MGB's PMMA Adventure
11 years 6 months ago #1285816083it is absolutely shocking but sadly not surprising. As much as we think of them as doctors, they are here for the business and they can be ruthless. I'm really sorry, I suppose take everything they offer.
However I wanted to raise back the LinneaSave topic - I thought such a message will land like a bombshell on the board, I rushed home to see more post on this. Is it replacing PMMA? Or is it an additional 'service'? Does it suppose to be better?
Thanks

11 years 6 months ago #1285816343You should give Phallocare a call (the guys that do the Erect PMMA procedure), and see if they can take you on short notice (since they are in the same building as dr c). tell them how they canceled your appointment, and they might be able to fit you in. that way you can still get your procedure done, and we can finally get a review for them. just a suggestion tho.

Re: MGB's PMMA Adventure
11 years 6 months ago #1285816587Seems odd that a doctor would book procedures in a time slot that they end up having to be "away" from the office in.
For my last round, all correspondence was done with Wade beforehand and come procedure day he wasn't there (Mel filled Wade's role in the procedure, positioning things and what not). The next day someone else on the board had a PMMA round done and talked about Wade being so nice / awesome. Mind you, not having Wade do it isn't the same as not being able to have a round at all, but Wade has a certain knack for detail and way about working the PMMA after Dr. C puts it in that I did miss (Mel is nice but very much a quiet guy who let Dr. C do all the thinking).
Definitely a bummer though man. I'd try to charge back the card, is there anything in the card's fine print about cancellation insurance on travel costs? I know my very basic travel visa with TD has free travel insurance... but I doubt it covers cancellations
Undecided - They have used LinneaSafe lots in the past (as its original name New Plastic, and I believe for a short while under its new name). I've personally had New Plastic and Metacril and don't really see much of a difference as far as "quality" or gains go... Keep in mind I believe Dr. N from the start has only used 30% Metacril while all the below has happened with the PMMA buzz and member group-think attributing to it.
To be honest the forum here can be a little crazy at times when it comes to over-thinking PMMA... At first 20% NewPlastic was all Dr. C used. Then he saw some good results with only 10% so the board jumped on it saying 10% was best. Then people complained of no gains on 10% so he went back to 20% but also started using some 30% Metacril (I remember members even asking for Metacril thinking it must be better).
Since some members were getting 30% and thought it provided better gains people started complaining that 20%, because it is a mix of 10% and 30% in-house, was likely the cause of lumps and complications and they demanded he use 30%... then people started complaining that 30% actually caused more complications. Then some members demanded they get 20% again.
Then all the sudden some people started seeing very little gains with 30% so they blamed the fact it was Metacril. I know you expected a big excitement over this announcement, but anyone who has been around here long enough would know that this is simply the latest PMMA Group-think.

Tomkat - I'd like to go to Phallocare actually since they do Erect PMMA. Makes more sense to do it Erect this way you can actually see where the divots are. Also heard they put 30% above circ scar. Sounds like it would be a more symmetrical approach. However, if there's no reviews on this doctor not sure I'm willing to risk my Dick on it. How long has this guy been doing these procedures? Is it PMMA or this Linneasafe product? Also, heard its double the price

im not sure on phallocare's prices and stuff. I don't know how long they have been doing PMMA, but they did post a video of them doing the procedure if you haven't seen it (it is on their website). I was just letting you know if you really wanted to do the procedure (since you already have time off work, and accomodation set up, so it doesnt go to waste). hopefully you aren't out too much money due to their un professionalism
the linneasafe is basically just another brand of PMMA, but it is 'supposed' to be a bit better than metacril. i think it is just a different carrier and maybe a different range of PMMA bead sizes (someone else should be able to tell you the exact difference)

I say slightly because I believe NewPlastic / LinneaSafe also wasn't all that great when compared to Artifill (the only USDA approved PMMA)
Lipen P, the PMMA that dr Cho uses, is approved by the Korean FDA. I think i read somewhere that the carrier in artifill isn't very good in the penis?

Did not know Linneasafe is New Plastic. So its still PMMA. I have both New Plastic and Metacril in my Dick.
Yes, have noticed over the years there has been a different consensus over what percentage is best. From 20% to 10% to 30% to 20% back to 30%/10%
Curious Sizemic if you would go the Phallocare route given what has happened.

However, had also wrote Wade an email about what had happened. He ended up calling me which was most appreciative. They apologized for not being available the week the flight/hotel was booked. He said that this never happens and that they're willing take 50% off my next procedure. That would cover the funds lost from nonrefundable flight/hotel package. Felt like this is quite professional of them and am going to reschedule with them for my 5th procedure once I figure out my schedule. He recommended having the procedure done on a Wed while staying at the Grand Hotel for 2 days. Then having a followup on Friday to make sure all is good before flying out. Not going to risk my Dick with Phallocare and am looking forward to having hopefully my final procedure. Curious if Dr.C would be willing to inject caverject to do an Erect procedure.
