TOPIC: My Elist implant experience to-date

Hello guys I am new, well I haven't been on for a while but I wanted to add that I had the implant put in by Elist back in Apr 2010 and had complications which involved a serious bulge that almost caused my skin to split. I had to go through pain for 6 months before having it removed due to money issues. Since then I've lost about 3/4" and have serious curvature and even worse if I do bone pressed and bad scar tissue. I've also had hard time getting erections I believe due to depression. Well the reason I am here is because I have contacted a lawyer and I would like for others that feel how I do to please inbox me if you would like to take action with me. The lawyer told me the more people that go after him as a group the better chances we have at nailing this dirtbag that has messed up our lives.

I joined this forum in order to learn the pros and cons of the procedure before my decision. Today I had a phone consult with the doctor and I am scheduling for an in office consult soon.
I remember that the doc mentioned a number of roughly 300 surgeries a year, which if taken in account only for the last 5 years, would sum up to over a thousand surgeries. Let's say only 1000 surgeries, and with let's say 200 case reports in this forum, would that mean that roughly more than 80% of cases succeed?
Also, I remember the doc saying that due to improved procedure and before and after surgery care and medication, the infection rate has decreased to close to zero over the last year.
My question is, where can I find patients with success stories? As a support forum, I could only find negative stories in here which do not seem to cover the whole patients that have undergone surgery. The Dane seem to be doing very well so far. Are there more members with positive outcome?

@prince after reading all this bad reviews about dr elist, and people with shorter penis than they actually had after the surgery why would u want to take the risk to have the surgery with this doctor? I dont understand.

300 surgery a year means 150 surgeries a year REMOVING the failed implant.... This dr lies when he opens his mouth. you have been warned about him...The infection rate is so high with his surgery because his is not a clean dr, he will use his surgically gloved hands to touch everything, even the trash can and then continue to operate in you..

I know of very few successful surgeries.
Out of the 10 or so implant stories I have followed on this board.... before, during, and after...all of them (the patients) developed complications and had it removed, or (2 of them) elected to have it removed to "get it over with", having accepted the fact that it was just a matter of time before Removal was necessary.. These do not include the countless victims that gravitated to our site after the butchering had already taken place. Completely numb, curved, shortened (up to 3 inches), and erectile dysfunction is what these guys often ended up with. And don't forget the ridiculous medical bills that were incurred to clean up Dr. Elist's mess...$30, 000 is not unheard of.
Dr. Elist is a pathological liar.... Do not believe anything he says. Please read the stories on this forum and others. There are no success stories out there., or very few. Even if it doesn't develop complications and is perfectly the way Dr. Elist wants it, it's still stunningly ridiculous. It's basically a dildo stitched onto your penis. Any woman could easily tell something is very out of the ordinary.
I implore you to stay away from this option. In fact, I'm shocked that you would even consider it after hearing even one of these horror stories. I have no ulterior motives. I have been on this board and others for years now, and have seen the carnage this doctor has inflicted on vulnerable men who believe that doctors can be trusted. And I speak from experience... I count myself as an Elist victim.

It isn't just the horror stories that are alarming... it's the marketing & shilling campaign that had gone on for a while before MyNewSize (a penis surgery website) vanished. I think it would be wise to consider the consensus of a forum where every method is discussed, a consensus that considers Dr. E's implant the least popular and/or most disliked.

Thanks for all the replies. Nothing is better than hearing actual experiences. I am not yet considering to go with him, I was just curious about the whole procedure.
May I ask, based on everybody's experience, what is actually the main reason of the removals? Is it infection, or is it just the implant being uncomfortable?
I called them again, today, asking about the "dildo" feel. The doc explained that the penis will be in a "semi-Erect" condition on Flaccid. Was anybody told the same? Also, according to him, the current infection rate is close to zero due to improved procedure and new antibiotics, and something else that I don't remember. Does anyone have any experience with these "new" stuff that is supposedly improved with less problems?
I also asked him if a Removal, if needed, will lead to permanent damage. He says no, but told about the possibility of retraction and scar tissue formation and something about modified procedure and treatment options in that case. Has anybody any experience with that?
I even pushed him further, asking about all the cases that have been reported as failed, but he was not shy to explain that they mostly happen because patients do not follow their instructions. What is the truth about that? Is there anybody who has followed all instructions and still experienced the implant to fail? What are these instructions anyways?
Sorry for so many questions, but I would like to have answers from somebody who is not involved with their office.
One last question: In case somebody undergoes surgery, and something happens, are they readily available to be contacted and advise?

@Mustang: I just read you amazing journey man..so many thanks for sharing. Are here, except for TheDane, positive stories available to read? I was shocked by some of the stories, but why do still so many people undergo the Elist surgery? That's what made me curious, that despite all these horror stories, there seem to be so many still doing it.
I need to call them again and verify their statements...

The number of patients reporting having undergone the Elist implant has decreased (significantly) over the past couple years, probably in part due to the reporting of actual patients regarding the outcome of the procedure. TheDane, while I wish him a successful outcome, isn't technically a "success" yet. He's still somewhat in a recovery stage and many men have reported removing the implant after many months from the original surgery date. Hopefully he wont share the same fate as many members on this forum, but suffice it to say, he's not "technically" a "success story."

If you are curious to read on experiences (positive or negative) related to the implant, don't forget to check out the old forum at Phalloplasty.proboards.com - there is a bunch of info there too (as well as the documentation of the notorious shilling associated with Dr. E).

And lastly worth noting, I've noticed a few posts lately recruiting former Dr. E patients to unify behind a lawsuit action, though I do not know what has come of that. The reason it's worth noting is that I've never seen anything like it before on the forums (current or old).

He says the infection rate is close to 0%? Lie! I am guessing it could be as high as 50%...And combined with the complication rate, I am guessing 90%. Awesome odds for shelling out $12,000!
He says that the reason men have to have it removed is because they re not following instructions? Lie! This is what he does...he will convince the patient it is somehow his fault.

So now he is finally admitting that removing the "dildo" actually can have a negative effect? Last I heard, he never even mentioned any possible complications. On his website and in consultation, he made it (the Removal) sound like a piece of cake. After I had my implant removed (due to infection), he looked me straight in the eye and told me that I was the first infection he had ever seen and was baffled by it. Which was extremely disturbing and illuminating to me because at that time I had been corresponding on the net with another guy who also had an infection and was having his removed that week too. Liar liar pants on fire Dr. Elist! Of course he never even hinted to me that there would be penile retraction...he was too busy billing me $700 for a Penis Pump (worth $100) while I was doped up on opium tea (the anesthesia for the Removal of the implant in his (unsanitary) examination room with his secretary as an assistant) ...Nice! This nightmare paled in comparison to the one I would encounter when I finally got home and found my penis retracted from 7.5 inches to 5.5 inches in a week.



I am sure there is a special place in Hell ready to welcome Dr. Elist when he finally leaves this material one. I hope the untold pain and suffering he has caused through his butchery, and the deception that he has employed to lure vulnerable men into an extremely risky procedure to insert, for all intents and purposes, a silicon dildo...was all worth it.

Wow..I'm buffed... I am not expecting them to tell anything but the truth, but I know that I will be told some stuff that I should hear and some maybe not...but do they not explain the risk and complications?
@messageman: sorry buddy for asking, but may I ask if any explanation was provided for the infection? and why did you not receive any treatment before Removal? I'm not medical genius, but infections can be handled with antibiotic stuff or so, right? Didn't you get any?
