TOPIC: Phallo without using Sapherous veins?

A friend of mine just woke up from his scheduled Phalloplasty about 30 minutes after being put under.
When he woke- to his dismay, nothing had been completed. The surgeons opened him up and realized that he was missing an integral part of his Sapherous vein from a previous medical intervention.

Does anyone know if it is possible to complete the surgery WITHOUT the Sapherous vein?

Or better yet, does anyone know of a surgeon who can complete the surgery without using it?
