TOPIC: Peyronie's Disease... My experience

Peyronie's is an auto immune wound healing disorder of unknown etiology. IE: It's hit or miss and the cause is not completely understood. (Pun intended)

Miracle, what is a ballpark estimate of what the procedure you had might cost? By the way, I am having the scar tissure attempted to be removed this tuesday with Camacho, and I am so excited. I hope the release of the tissue may straighten out the shaft a bit. Thanks

Most urologists don't know sh*t about peyronie's. Penile curvature (congenital and acquired) is Dr. Egyido's area of expertise. Do NOT believe what your Urologist tells you! You can be treated and have your "divot" or "hinge" effect resolved. At present, the medical field is evolving rapidly with increasing areas of specialty on the rise. The human body is incredibly complex and by creating specialized areas of medicine, we are able to focus our area of study on a less intimidating scale. Urology is a grandiose field of medicine in and of itself. Considering the duration of your affliction with peyronie's, I personally feel that the pump will be of little benefit. It is worth a shot however.

I'm all over it.... I still havent contacted him as have been swamped with life... I will soon... I'm also going to really really check out his credentials, testimonials etc... I also had a friend tell me she has lots of relatives, friends there and can easily check with locals on his credentials etc... I'm just a very skeptical person by nature.... His website looks great and your giving him a great report... thats a good start.... Like I said at beginning of this message -- If he can "fix me" -- I am all over it... I'll do it first or second quarter of next year.. maybe sooner... just have to check it out from all angles first... I want my lost Inch in length back + my normal curvature.... regards and good night..

Prepare to be "all over it". By all means, do your research. Dr. Egydio has excellent credentials.

I've now contacted Dr Egydio... He was great on the phone... He's requesting detailed specifics of my situation... IE - Dates, pre / post injury info, detailed pics etc... I need to take some good pics and get him a really detailed email... I'm hopeful.... he sounded very positive... very upbeat...

I did a couple Erect measurements tonight... was kind of surprised by my EG being pretty good... (6" at base). My EG would be thicker but the divot from the penile fracture caused some Girth loss as well as length... I've definitely lost Erect length.. more than I thought.. I think I actually lost over an Inch in length which is a major bummer... My erections are still really good which is great...!! I'm also 50 now and am not sure if the normal aging process also contributed to that length loss... It certainly would not surprise me... everythings receding now from my gumline to my friggin hair line... I even have "bald spots" on my once very hair legs... sheeeeesh........ gettin olds not fer woosies.....!!!!

I'm very shy & hoping can work up the nerve to post all stats backed up by really clear pictures.. (when I get really good pics which will be very soon)
I want to get Dr Egydio really good, clear pics right away.. He said he needs them from pretty much all angles... So, if I get him all my info, even if I dont have the surgery for a while, he and I can open up the lines of communication now... I guess I was surprised as I've just never really focused on my Girth... length was what I always measured... At some point I'm sure I too all measurements Erect... I honestly dont think I've ever once taken any measurements in Flaccid state... This should be very interesting.... If he CAN get my EL back & I heal up ok and everythings looking good... I may at that time seriously consider PMMA... I have to admit though the PMMA procedure scares the buggers out of me as I just havent seen any "long term statistics"... You guys have major Balls to get that procedure done not knowing how it may turn out or what you may face in the way of issues caused by PMMA a year, 2,3 ,4 years down the line... 10 years... Does anyone anywhere have any statistical information post op 2,3,4 years or longer..?? I'm very very curious about this and about what Wade and Dr C are saying they have seen... Let's not postulate other's actions and leave the former hiatus where it belongs... in the past. It's good to have you back Sheldon. Please refrain from bringing up Richard in the future. Instead, try to focus your efforts on being the valuable contributor you've proven to be in the past.

Long message so apologies in advance... I'm just getting kind of excited about hopefully getting my PF curvature corrected so am spending some time responding... I'm hoping this can HELP OTHERS... Below is an excerpt from a message sent to another member... I"m more than happy, from now on to keep the bulk of my info about my specific case on this thread (that is if anyone cares).... BTW -- since I wrote the below message to M7, I've started communicating with Dr Egydio & am to send him good clear pics next week along with a history of how my condition occurred... This is so he can let me know if he feels I'm a good candidate for his corrective surgery... I also visited with Elist,who I feel is a very good, experienced Dr and has allot of experience with Peyronies... This despite allot of what I had previously read about him.. Elist and I did not even discuss penile implant nor am I at all interested in that procedure... No way... I consulted with him on peyronies alone... He advised NO SURGERGY.. which is obviously against what Dr Egydio says... I'm seeking out the Dr with the most experience in correcting penile curvature due to penile fracture and that appears (for now) to obviously be Egydio...

I just cant believe I havent heard of this procdure before and that pretty much everyone I've spoken with says -- "live with it" or something equally hopeless... I'm taking good, clear photos today for Dr Egydio... I may post them if I ever work up the nerve... None-the-less, I'll have them to send to Dr E... I guess a good question here is -- "Do ya'll think anyone on this site really gives a rip about seeing my Peyronies pics, progress etc.."..? If not, I def wont post.... If there may be even one person who may benefit from them, then I guess it would be worth doing.... nuff said -- back to my date with my Canon...
