I’ve thought about going PMMA as it’s cheeper and they have the one with less material in it for better smoothing, but so far I’m sticking with Ellanse. Have you lost size? Slight dips here and there. I was thinking of a small Overall Even touch up. Which is why I was asking if I should stick with Ellanse or go the PMMA route. Part of me wants to just stick with the same product, but I am not sure as I'm not an expert. How do you like your Ellanse? First off silicone is not approved as a Dermal Filler at all by the FDA. Secondly, it should be strongly prohibited from use in penis. Silicone is a filler that spreads and migrates. Never does it become one with the body, rather the body is always trying to push it out. PMMA on the other hand has been approved by FDA as a Dermal Filler. It is used off label as a filler in the penis. Now the big difference is the body encapsulates the microspheres, forming vascularization around them and essentially locking them in place, hopefully preventing migration. Placing PMMA over silicone or within silicone is a very poor choice. This is because PMMA needs to be encapsulated, which if placed within silicone prevents that. The PMMA then incites an inflammatory reaction and in this situation a bunch of nodules. With silicone, in time things would most likely have gone south. With PMMA, there is a much greater chance for integration and successful augmentation Concerning use of PMMA after Ellanse…..well, they both stimulate collagen through inflammation and thus collagen deposition, however one is longterm semi perm and the other, we presume, is permanent. My feeling is, as Ellanse begins to wear down, the body will aggressively eat away at it by means of macrophages and phagocytes. This may cause more inflammation around the permanent PMMA. There may be a chance of Nodule formation because the two stimulatory fillers degrade at different rates. Who knows.
