TOPIC: PMMA Utmost Package 12/14 - Hard lump at base -- Inflamttion or Permanent?

Hi all --

Long-time (infrequent) lurker -- had the utmost package with Dr. M on 12/14 -- went conservative, 17cc of 10%, as I wanted aesthetic results above gains. Massaged pretty aggressively, but was disciplined in aftercare. A week later, the base/upper base of my penis is very hard, especially when pinched. Much harder than the shaft and behind it on the base. It's resulted in a slightly raised ring in the upper base, giving by penis a strange appearance when Erect. Not noticeable really when soft. Soft or hard, though, it's very sore when I press down on it from top of penis, not at all sore when I pinch it from the sides. Do you guys think this is just inflammation (in which case I should tone down the massaging and let it heal), or do you think it's like an FBG or some other thing of that ilk? My concern is it feels very hard, like plastic, and that it's clumped PMMA at the base. Have attached photos -- what do y'all think? If it is some clustering of PMMA or FBG or whatever, should I go get a Kenalog shot this weekend? Should I massage it?

Three other potentially relevant notes --

1) Have lost about a full Inch of stretched length since I really noticed it about 48 hours ago. Day or two immediately after the surgery I had not lost the length.

2) The area of my fat pad, right above the penis, is very sore, has been so for past couple days (coinciding with me really noticing this hard raised ring). Was wearing the stretcher as instructed by Ian and Dr M -- down my leg pretty consistently for first 5 days.

3) When I first really noticed the hard mass a couple days ago, I massaged it VERY aggressively, resulting in the rest of my penis swelling up a ton--that swelling has largely subsided elsewhere, but the hard mass remains.

I'd have have Kenalog injections in there asap.
Maybe you have over massaged it.

If I do go the Kenalog route--how do you recommend I got about finding the right doctor? Given the holiday season, probably can't fly anywhere--will have to go to someone in my metro area. What type of doctor should I look for? Any plastic surgeon that offers Kenalog?

Secondly, I'm worried I overmassaged it as well--but what could be the link between the two? Could I have caused scar tissue build up?

That bulge is happens quite often as the filler seeks to go to the area of least resistance. Since it has been only been a week or so, I would still 'massage' it. Use a larger roller than what they gave you, like a pill bottle. I've also used the palm of my hand and other flat surfaces. Don't do Kenalog yet.

The aching at the pubic bone area I had too, but went away after two weeks or so.

Vary the position of how you stretch. Let leg, right leg and if you can get or make a harness stretch upwards.

I would also start pumping gently to stretch the skin.

I would just push it down and roll forwards, that would naturally spread it out in all directions You can also try squeeze it upwards

I had my Kenalog injections done with a plastic surgeon. I wouldn't have high expectations that it will improve things massively, it might soften it somewhat but it's the only real option you have. I'd get it done as soon as possible because the longer you leave it the less likely it will have an effect.
Btw, I think your result looks great anyway.

Did you have the Botox to stop retraction ? I believe they call it Phallotox
What were your pre procedure stats?

Hey Reklaw -- Yeah, I got the Botox, to stop retraction. I was 7" NBPSL, 6.5"NBPEL, 4.5" EG up and down -- am now closer to 6.25"NBPSL (though confident that will come back w a bit of time, feels pretty obvious that has to do with soreness. EG-wise, I'm not measuring too much as I've been pretty swollen, but I've been up around 5.25" I think? Rolling forwards with the pill bottle, per Camphallo's advice, actually seems to be helping, so am gonna give that a couple days of effort at least.

Wondering if the hard spot right at the top of the penis base, lower on the shaft than the PMMA is really inserted, could actually be the phallotox? Does anyone know what the phallotox is supposed to feel like/how long it takes to dissolve?

It won't be Botox.

Don't overreact. Massage down towards the head. The base tends to swell more and cause a bit of an offset visually in the beginning. Just massage and keep on aftercare. Do not stop massaging. It's there for your ability to adjust and spread the PMMA evenly.

I had that same kind of bulge once and I wouldn't be terribly concerned. I had to look at the pictures a few times to notice it and it reminds me of something similar I had years ago. It did soften over time but I also do recall having gone in for a touch-up and it was corrected then & there. How much of it was my own softening & how much was the touch-up I can't say for certain, but I wouldn't be alarmed.

Best bet is to send these same pictures to Dr. M and continue following post-op protocol. Happy healing & Happy Holidays

@TXMav and Skeptical one -- I will definitely keep massaging, and have sent the pics to Dr. M and Ian (sent them on saturday, no response--think they might be out for the holidays ). One question regarding the massagingh: In y'all's experience, how much effect can massaging realistically have at this point (10 days)? I ask because I'm also getting a very slight bulge effect in the middle of my shaft -- when I massage very aggressively it goes away, but then reappears very quickly after I massage. Am I not actually moving the product, but rather just compressing the fat there or something for a bit?

/ Quick follow up q: How often/hard would you be massaging at this point? once every three hours / very firmly?
