And if it's a long time for both, is there any kind of exercise one can do while recovering? I thank you, and I'm sorry if this is covered elsewhere. I really did search and couldn't find anything. That likely means I'm bad at searching. I'll take my lumps for my lack of skills. I think it is safe to assume that anything involving upper body you could do sooner than lower body, and I would stay away from squats, running and treadmill or elliptical for at least a month or whatever your doctor says. It could be crazy to fuck it up by increasing swelling or scar tissue. ps I would not do anything at all for 2-3 weeks and see how you feel. Swelling and scar tissue will fuck up your procedure. My doctor told me to stay horizontal for 5 days after to promote good healing and I had no complications from the procedure. I always assume the Doctors are being extra cautious and go with the way my body feels. But, 6 months is way to cautious. I had ligs cut, grafts put in and grafts taken from my ass on the same day - and I was back in the gym at 2 months or so. I fractured the far left side of my left hand skiing this New Years, and never stopped working out or went to get it set - so thats who you are talking to.
