Yeah that worries me a bit. I usually considered Dr. C cautious and that seems completely the opposite.

And what recourse would you have? If this is true, for me that settles it. I would never visit this doctor if he hadn't discussed it as a possibility with you prior. Maybe doctor N then, or someone in Hollywood.

Good and bad news. Just had follow up with Doc.

Good news:
Sutures look great. Healing as expected.
Large ulcer still to receive Santyl. Precise wound measurements commence next week.
Dr. Casavantes will be pooling resources and connections to see if there is a viable way to salvage the ulceration that is to come.

Bad news:
Silicone has all but broken my junk. This was confirmed by my PS and the pathology report.
It is slap loaded with it and the existing ulcer has and estimated 4 month timeline to heal.
I was given a 60-50% odds that the area in question will require a graft. Partial grafts of the penile skin are hideous but preserve functionality.
If I inevitably end up requiring a graft, I'm looking at another 6 months of healing. That totals over a year in a half with no quality of life and I'd be left with a 'FrankenWeenie'.

In a dark place brothers. Abysmal darkness. All I can do is keep my head up and have faith. All prayers and wishes appreciated.

This is the worst time when bad news is received. Time is a great healer as Southdub says. Think every member is feeling for you and rooting for you. Try to find something else to occupy your mind as camphallo says. Thinking of you man. Good to see that Dr C is helping.

Thank all of you so much for your support. I'm literally soaked in tears and trembling at this very moment. This is by far the darkest period I've ever faced. Peyronie's is a blessing compared to this. I'd upload pics, but I'm hesitant as they are extremely graphic even for those with a strong constitution. I've lost 1/2 the skin on my penis and can only pray for a successful outcome whereby I maintain functionality. Dr. Casavantes has been very supportive and I believe he's discontinued usage of silicone.

They will be able to regrow your shaft skin in the not so distant future, the technology is already in place.

either way finding a plastic surgeon who specialises in tissue engineering shouldnt be too difficult, the skin on the penis is still skin and people with horrific burns and facial injuries get to looking back to normali'm sure you will pull through, all the best.
