Like many cities Dublin splits it self into a geographical divide. We have a north and south divide defined by what side of the river you live. You are either a northsider or southsider. There is rivalry between the the sides which leads to daily joking and slagging between the two. The South has more of the affluent suburbs while the North has more of the not so nice areas. 2 years ago my sister caused great shame to my family by marrying and moving to the northsider Btw if any you PB members are visiting do try and stay in the the south of the city. Joking aside it is nicer and safer for visitors.
