Granulomas and chronic inflammation are a known potential problem in the future. This has been stated before on this site many times. People that have PMMA in the face sometimes have reactions 5-10 years later. What makes the penis any different. Plus we get way way more injected and of lower quality. This is not some risk free procedure and the moderators here will tell you the same. No penis enlargement surgery is risk free. The longest someone has had this is 5-7 years if I'm not mistaken. Who knows what will occur in 10, 15, 20 years. I think the possible counterargument to this is that, if in fact this is a chronic problem and only a small fraction of guys that have this done take to the boards to investigate, wouldn't that mean that we'd see many, many more posts about this. I also agree that we don't know a whole lot about what this does 5-10 years down the line. Though some of those stories are scary. That is very very high. 40 mg is a systemic dose for allergies, for a month. Docs in the USA will not inject that much, especially in the face. They will do maybe 2-3 mg at most. Or, there is an atrophy risk. I had a dent in 1 spot from kenalog. It went away a few months later. Often, the atrophy will go away, but it's hard to predict. Atrophy is not the only risk. You can see the consequences of over-injecting kenalog here (scroll down). I don't think I'd want to risk that with my penis, or in the case of that post on realself, the face. That person sounded crazy... hooking up a RF device (for $40... must be some amazing device) to her nodules, from outside of the skin. She said the RF stimulates collagen...which would make it worse. There is no way to "melt the PMMA" from outside the body and think it would help. The PMMA would still be there. The doc who uses the laser opens the skin (and even that had a response by another MD in a journal saying it sounded extremely unsafe). Finally, the nodules are mostly collagen / scar tissue - not all PMMA. It's a complicated problem to get rid of the PMMA AND the scar tissue... which is why so many of us are kind of screwed with these nodules. Hey there, this is my first post, but I have, like most people on here, been a long time researcher and possible future client of Dr.C . I've been reading everything I can on this message board for some time, but have never posted because I honestly don't have anything relevant to add yet. However I can comment on this issue. I ironically found another thread within an hour of reading this that had someone commenting on this exact same link. To paraphrase what others said on that specific thread, it basically COULD be a site other doctors pay to write poorly about other doctors in hopes for business. Also, from a personal standpoint if this was real, and happened often, we would have heard all about it here at some point. From reading the various threads on here most, if not all, pmma complications seem to involve nodules and/or unevenness in the penis after procedure. Which in my humble opinion is nothing compared to the laundry list of possible problems that could arise. The more serious complications seem to involve procedures done that involve removing the pmma, doing multiple procedures or doing a different procedure all together. I'm not stating it is definitely fake, or not to use caution, I am just saying it doesn't add up in my opinion.
