Given the wealth of information that this site provides, I think this is more than fair.

since it became clear how meticulous and sincere are the mods on this board, and how important that is to people's health and welfare, i've been definitely going to donate. the only question of course: when? thus a well timed kick up the backside.

Not sure I follow the analogy entirely , I do see his point Skeptical.

Ultimately if people have to pay to be able to post their feedback, new feedback will be reduced, the call is, is that a price worth paying.

Is there no way we could all pay the subscription which the site deserves but somehow allow people who are leaving a log to leave it without paying ? Perhaps leaving a new log requires no subscription but reviewing other peoples logs does?

The logs are such a vital part of the forums , it's the element that really helps people see results and decisions.

Most everything is in place. The last technical hurdle I have is setting all the parameters for different account types on this forum. I haven't fiddled with those features in a while and the controls can be rather convoluted. Plus with my personal life & work, I can only predict a window of time: membership requirements will go into effect as early as this weekend, as late as the following weekend. Mid-June more-or-less.

With updated pricing lifetime membership is $100, but stands at $50 (50% discount) until the program is implemented. Since I don't know the exact day & time it will be implemented, it would suit those best to donate if they desire lifetime membership. Donations for the sake of donating is also appreciated. Otherwise subscription packages will include $5, $25, and $40.

Yes, members who wish to post a progress report with a minimum of one before & after photo-set can obtain temporary free viewership (which I'll clarify in the subscription thread)... and their membership can become a free lifetime membership if the thread reaches at least 2 pages in rich content (which includes thorough updates as well as discussion with other members of the forum). They simply would need to email me with their before & after photo set as well as a draft of their first post (must be thorough & detailed), and we can go from there.

The CCBill accepts a number of currencies, so yes, international funds can be accepted.

I'll do my best to encourage new reports but I believe there is a good 6 years worth of info here already that in itself presents a pretty good sample size & big picture.

How much should I donate roughly for a lifetime membership?

I'll be using the forum for another year or so and will pick the most economical alternative.

At long last! Will there be a method of extracting the monthly subscription from my card? It's the only option available in my region for small amounts (bank transfers for larger).

Not open to discussion but what about suggestion? Why not make it flat, who doesn't like can leave the board? I consider that paying monthly over my lifetime will be a hell of a lot more than a one- or two-time donation, plus everyone should be reporting anyway ...

Not really a good point. With that reasoning, imagine if this site didn't exist at all. You'd have zero accounts of first-hand experiences, and even worse, what little info was available was monopolized by unscrupulous physicians and patient associates.

I started this forum voluntarily & out-of-pocket. It's time the community return the favor.
