Bodybuilders, weight lifters, power lifters who frequent the bodybuilding forums (some, not all of course) often have some degree of body dysmorphia themselves.....similar to those on penis forums in regard to "average" vs enhanced. I'm 5'9" 192lbs @ 10% BF, 48" chest, 32" waist, 17-17.5" arm and by most people that know me, they consider me a "big", muscular, strong guy. I consider myself a smaller to average build. My perception is skewed because I compare myself to the guys in my community who are 60" chests, 22+" biceps, etc,etc.....it is all relative to your "norm". Compared to average joe....yeah, I'm pretty muscular....but I do not compare myself to average Joe. Most likely, if my bicep reaches 20", then I will look elsewhere for improvement. Weightlifting, much like PE is a journey.....not a destination. There is always room to improve ones self. My opinion of course. At the same time there I think there is a difference between guys who look down and see "small" and those who would just desire to be bigger. I know that I am not below average, but I would still like to have a little more size. It is more for personal satisfaction than anything else. This forum started out as a small site and its intention was to be a place to discuss and exchange ideas on surgical penis enlargement. Fast forward 3 years later, it's a bustling message board, and I suspect many men are experiencing the same things "kapitalizam" is now reporting: dysmorphia, a distorted perception of ideal sizes, assumption that our partners prioritize size above most other attributes, etc etc etc. I advised him a while back to lay off the forum (as well as laying off porn) and he's reported back success in regaining some sense concerning his penis obsession. I recommend this to all our members. Unless you are progress reporting (this makes sense that you'd be on frequently, daily or weekly, to keep us up to date), or unless you are involved in research & investigation (members contacting doctors and relaying their emails, finding articles on the web, etc), or Moderating - then I strongly recommend you visit this site at most once-a-week. I also highly recommend cutting back on porn consumption if this is a bad habit as well. These two in conjunction can greatly reduce the unintended ill-effects of the online PE scene. As i was obsessively reading threads almost every day, from progress reports, to procedures etc, I got to a point that I was so obsessed with my penis that it completely took over my life. Literally it devoured every productive aspect of my old self, and I became an unproductive piece of shit, thinking bout my Dick all day long, and obsessively checking it out if it is Hanging good or not. This obsession mixed with dismorphia had been slowly creeping on me for the last 2 years as I proceeded lurking for enhancement procedures, and watching porn for PE exercises (not a good idea). It got so out of control that i couldn't control the urge of constantly checking my junk if it is there or not. Depression was pretty severe as well. i went from perfectly normal to a unproductive piece of shit, looking at his Dick all the time. It sounds pretty pathetic, but it is real and it can happen to anyone. Not to mention the fact that i have a perfectly normal and functional penis, and have been sleeping with girls all the time. My relationship fell apart, mostly to my fault because i lost interest in sex, watching all this porn, and thinking bout how small i am (which is an illusion, created by obsession, and watching Shane Diesel ))) nothing could turn me on , and the last thing on my mind was my girlfriend. As i said i'm normal-good size, but who wants to be normal after all on this forum???????????????? Well I did, before reading members getting 6 Girth and even over it. Or dropping to 5,75 after couple rounds and wanting to go back to 6". is all good, one can get as much as he likes, as long as it makes one happy, but the educational purpose of the forum in my opinion is starting to fade away. And the numbers have gone up quite a bit. There was a time when 5 Girth was considered good, and it still is among women, but who cares bout women here anyway??? So my advice to anyone who will relate to this topic, take it easy on the forum, don't read obsessively every day, if you feel obsessed, lay it of for week or two, or months, or forever... and whatever you do, make sure you make a decision with clear mind, never rush things.. as I almost did... BUT the danger here vs. Natural PE is that surgery / injections are quite invasive and very hard to reverse. With manual PE (especially pumping to a big girth) I would enter this weird zone of arrousal, fantasy and euphoria. Naturally after I came and some time passed it would deflate and I would go back on with life with my normal dick. But I'd always have to take steps like pumping to get to that fucked up state. What we don't see is that this whole time our perception of what is normal is thrown out the window. We see other members posting about their giant schlongs and we get sucked right in. The real world is forgotten. We watch porn that only validates these new perceptions we have. This whole time, like pumping we inflate our dicks, only they don't deflate. We just keep building them up bigger and bigger, in this tunnell vision. I've used the steriod analogy before, but I still think its true: We push past what most people would think is normal in our weird mental state that we are in. MOST women would not find those big ass roided out guys to be attractive, but those guys obviously think they are by doing what they do. So will this place mess with your head? - Yes it's likely. I think there are different kinds of dysmorphia going on here. There's the kind where people believe they are small or too small for their partner. Even when they are average size they have this negative perception about being average and it not being enough. There's the kind who believe having a big dick will solve various problems and issues in their life. Whether its to add confidence, cure depression, machoism whatever. There's the kind like me who get caught up in being huge. Beyond even what is normally considered huge. Its a turn on for them to be "too big". --- In all of these cases PMMA or any other PE surgery for that matter likely won't "cure" this dysmorphia. We need to figure out what is at the root of it, because a bigger dick won't solve it.
