I was referring to TSA for my flight into San D. I wanted to get the cash from my bank account at home and not have to try to find a bank and mess with it in San D. I get in after 11pm and the procedure is the next morning. I agree about the wiring. I'm very confident that I will not back out of the procedure...but just in case I don't want to wire it. The more I think about it I'm sure most folks just used cash. I'll just watch my belongings like a hawk through TSA (I usually do anyway) and not worry about it. I'm staying in the Gas Lamp district in San Diego. This is what Dr C's office recommend. I just grabbed the cheapest hotel out of brands that I knew (hoped) would be sanitary. Yes, The Dr's staff takes your hotel info and tells you when the driver will be there. I didn't have this info when I first made the appointment. Also if you wire money or send it paypal, and then decide the procedure is not for you, it is very unlikely you will get a refund. At least with cash, you are not committed until you hand over the money. So you may want to wear a money belt and watch it very carefully as you pass through security, but no, carrying 2500 will NOT raise any suspicions. People ofter travel with larger amounts. I have this vision of going through TSA and them questioning me about why I've got so much cash on me...or same thing at the Mexican boarder. The driver will pick u up at the hotel and drop you at the clinic, you take the elevator to the office and pay them the $2500 of the procedure plus the $100 of the shuttle. The whole thing was a walk in the park and the drivers are supper professional so don't sweat it too much. I was freaking out just like you before I went there with all the Mexico stuff in the news and all but like I said it was uneventfful. TJ is a nice city and I didn't see anything that worried me. You may want to bring a little extra to buy souvenirs for the house while waiting to cross back to US like I did, my wife loved the stuff I bought her for the house.
