However, I wonder if its a fair comparison, because I think in the use of a bone filler, I dont think you get the constant abrasion and thus the constant inflammation impact. However, I would love to set my mind at ease and believe this study more... I really would... then I could goto sleep right now for a few hours before work.

This has nothing to do with PMMA and everything to do with nocturnal tumescence. Your body has been producing testosterone and other hormones during sleep. Nocturnal tumescence is natures way of protecting your organ. The process has nothing to do with physical nor psychological arousal.

There is no chronic inflammation over years after PMMA injection - as it is during the 1st 6 months , until all the microspheres are encapsulated with collagen : the histological picture remains the same , more collagen is produced :-

The comparison between Asbestos and PMMA shows that we have no idea what's going on with different chemicals. The US-FDA approved PMMA because its microspheres are absolutely stable and chemically inert. Asbestos are tiny fibers, which decay over time in the body and cause not only a chronic inflammation but cancer - due its chemistry !

There is no cancer reported after PMMA ( neither from abrasion of artificial joints nor from inhalation in histology labs) - and PMMA microspheres are injected since 1989 = 23 years in > 500,000 patients faces ....

Histology after 15 years looks totally different from scaring histology after Asbestos : the body embraces smooth PMMA microspheres and many other inert chemicals - but tries to get rid of toxic Asbestos : 2 different mechanisms !!

This is where the analogy falls apart completely. There is no proof of this other than mere speculation derived from a carcinogen's affects on a completely different organ.

The only complication from inflammation that I'm aware of in the penis would be FBGs... which presently hasn't been theorized or demonstrated to affect penile function.

I think the only possible alignment to Musky's thinking is chronic inflammation... not inflammation after sex.

The PMMA does not stick to the skin or the blood vessels that fill when you get Erect. It moves, a little bit, inside the penis. We've all had the experience of getting a blister on our heel from repeated rubbing by new shoe leather. In the case of PMMA, the rubbing is on the inside of the penis. The skin moves over the PMMA during sex. The PMMA moves over the blood vessels.The body does not like it and it creates a buffer. The buffer is swelling. If you have sex several times close together then the swelling will be more. If you don't have sex for a week or two, then the swelling goes down. Anti-inflammatories, like Kenalog, will reduce the swelling.

The structures of the peniss are not bigger because of PMMA. The blood vessels, ligaments etc are all the same size. The only thing that gets bigger is the skin to cover the PMMA. There is not more blood flow to the penis after PMMA. The blood does not drain out slower because of PMMA. It feels meatier due to swelling.

Over the long term (years) the body will build up scar tissue or fibrous tissue so that it does not have to swell up every time. The body will protect itself from the irritant. PMMA will have the same effect as asbestos over the long term. Chronic inflammation, fibrous tissue and other problems.

Anyone tracking my experience will know that I'm having trouble with the mental aspects of this situation already.

This is good information for me... as I'm dealing with some inflammation and my Urologist wants to 'wait and see' ... as opposed to using Kenalog shots to help reduce the inflammation.

I'll ask him during my next appointment what he thinks.

The penis is probably swelling due to irritation caused by a foreign body (the PMMA). Organically, his penis is the same size and there is a foreign body between the skin and blood vessels that make it bigger. This business that his Cock is a monster or blood flow is bigger is pure nonsense. Blood flow is the same. The swelling is the body's reaction to moving the skin of the penis over the PMMA. There is a small amount of irritation and the body is swelling to put fluid between it and the irritant. It is not an infection therefore no warmth.

This chronic irritation and swelling is going to be a problem long term.

I think its a good thing to talk to your doctor if swelling continues for a prelonged period of time, and might be justification for Kenalog shots rather than doing nothing....
