Here are some examples, taken from Dr Alters and Dr Reeds websites, which shows why the V/Y incision isn't used so much these days, as it can cause visible scarring and also promote hair baring skin up the shaft.

that is indeed a horrible scar, but these guys at morgansten seem to be good at what they do. Oooo this post is going to be goooood.

That isn't actually a scar. I think that's the incision stitched up just after surgery. I posted it just to give people an idea of how the V/Y incision works. The reason some surgeons like it is because it creates a flap, which is meant to accommodate the extra length. However, it's largely fallen out of favor in the US as it can leave unsightly scarring and create scrotal "dog ears." Most surgeons, in the US, tend to prefer the small transverse scar, like Hunkydory had. Gary Alter has said that he didn't really notice any observable length gain advantage by using the Y/V flap so prefers the transverse incision.

I literally had the same call with them a few days ago! I had it with a Rejuvall sales rep. Spoke about the Maximus but I haven't gotten any picutres yet unfortunately. I'd like to see the 2 Inch results and the scar one gets from the Maximus procedure. Regarding them doing width and length seperately, that was my exact convo. I told him I think it would be better to get length then he's then come do Girth and we landed on this procedure. Very funny you had a similar convo the same few days as me.

Have my consult with with the doctor on Wednesday the 15th. Will discuss with him and see

I had a V/Y myself and it was way worse than any of those. But I had a keloid scar, which was bright red and very thick.

@Hunky,

Thank You for sharing your experience. Did having the lig cut, prevent Turtling?
The best way to think about lengthening surgery is to accept that you are trading money for a scar for the possibility of having a longer Flaccid. That's pretty much the best case scenario (that the scar is not bad, there are no complications, you gain enough Flaccid length that it means something to you.) If you go in hoping for more you will probably be disappointed and prepare yourself for less. Thundersplace.org is great for info about Hanging and stretching - I'd commit to that first and see what happens.

Yeah I too am a bit skeptical about that much of a length increase. Hanging weights would be more of a logical route imo but hey if you gain that much in length then it's a great investment for you. Post before and after pictures with a tape measure if you could!! Good luck

Tx for your answer bro. I was planing on getting PMMA a month ago, but I am very afraid of something permanent and since I am 6'BPEL with a good Erection I am really interested in length. My EG is 5' and I will like to be 5.75 or 6 but not without being 7' Erect or as close as I can be. So I will be following this post.

The small scar on the base of my Dick is from the dermal graft Removal - and I even got lucky with that as it is minimal. The lig cut scar is under my pubes and not at all noticeable. Its the slightly darker area.

@Hulkman - Dr. Carney is at Morganstern Urology. Website Morganstern.com - After Researching Dr. Carney, it appears he works at several hospitals in the Atlanta area, along with doing PE procedures at Morganstern.

Tex,

I agree, would love to see someone that has had the procedure validate 2 inches. Then the procedure only comes out to 5k an Inch. lol. ? I am going to talk to Morganstern again next week, as I have thought of a few follow up questions, after doing some research on lig cuts.
I would love to hear/see the support of this claim. Did they provide any ? Based on all that I have read as well as from a couple guys that I have meet who have had their ligs cut and stretched after: an Inch seems to be the norm. Im not saying I do not believe, im just saying that I am a bit skeptical.

Also, from experience, a person easily ( i say that receptively ) should be able to get an Inch on there Flaccid length with some diligent efforts towards some Hanging, stretching, and/or weight wearing. Guys on thunder have done it, i've done it.

Id love to see and hear some results of this Maximus Procedure.

SLE makes a small cut in the scrotum to cut the ligaments!! Seems to be a huge improvement over the VY cut IMO!!

@Hunky - Thanks for input. I have a few more questions, if you don't mind answering. You mention massive scarring, any ideas what can prevent this? Perhaps this is why Hanging, etc is recommended? Do you regret doing the surgery now? Have you heard of any improvements in techniques? I read that a spacer or silicone sheath may be used do keep reattachment, but I didn't ask this when I consulted. Thanks!
I'd look up pics of VY plasty before you do anything - the scars can be intense. Also, the most that will happen if you are lucky is that your Flaccid length will be closer to your Erect length, many of guys lose Erect length from scar tissue, however. There is no way that you will gain 1" Erect length in 6 months. That is way over promising. If you are lucky and you don't get the massive scarring, and you don't lose Erect length, and you are super motivated and you hang for 8-10 hours a day, 6 days a week in a year or more you will get an extra 1" at most - but I can't say that the length I got would not have come anyway had I not had my ligs cut and just did the Hanging. I did this 20+ years ago and lept the length, but it was so much work I am not sure how it correlated to the surgery tbh.
