1 year 6 months ago #1308720303It's light orange/clear and has a weird feeling to it. I imagine this is PMMA?
Is this normal?? Is there something I can do to help this hole heal??

You wrote "when I massage hard enough," which is precisely the problem. Entry points can heal in as early as 2-3 days, so it seems like you may be exerting unnecessary amounts of force if you keep (needlessly) breaking entry points at this stage. Imagine picking a scab prematurely over and over so that it always seems bleed; while not the best analogy, it gives you some imagery as to what the issue may very well be. Also, be sure you do all of this as prescribed by Dr. Liu in as clean of a way & place as possible.

1 year 6 months ago #1308720305Ok I'll try to lighten up on the massaging. Honestly sometimes I feel it happens even when I'm pushing softer, but yea will see how it goes over the next few days.
I'm worried I lost a but of PMMA
Also can this lead to a bad nodule?

I am not certain who you are so I cannot be too specific in my answer. Generally, when you massage after surgery, you should do it gently and with even pressure. If there is an opening and fluid comes out, you have to be extra careful so that you do not contaminate the area (KEEP IT CLEAN) and clean with betadine or if not available use alcohol. Then put on neosporin ointment and cover with a clean dressing or at least with a band-aid.
The best is for you to please call my office for an appointment ASAP so I can examine it thoroughly and take care of it appropriately.

If this is an AD procedure (Avanti Derma), reach out to them, if this is in any way involves prior with Dr. Liu, please reach out to him. Dr. Liu's recommendations are spot on as a general advice for people in your situation, but specifics cannot be diagnosed through a Forum (much less discussed in detail without compromising HIPAA regulations). I'm happy that Dr. Liu took time out of his day to help comment nonetheless
It is highly unlikely you "lost a lot of PMMA" through the act of massaging your unit, and in fact, you need to be more mindful of healing at this stage. If you are in-fact discussing a treatment from Avanti Derma (and not your procedures with Dr. Liu), then I can tell you with certainty that aggressive massaging this far post-op is unnecessary. In-fact, massaging might be counter-productive if you haven't fully healed a week+ out. Again, it would be wise like Dr. Liu suggested to get in touch with the performing Physician in this regard.
If we are to dwell like this post-op, let us obsess about our penis's health & recovery, the gains will come in time.

1 year 6 months ago #1308720338This is never happened before, this is my fourth injection/procedure at this point but my first with Avanti Derma. All others before this were with Dr Liu. I'm starting to get concerned, what can I do to help heal this faster? I keep putting Neosporin over the wound after pressing it down and cleaning it, then I wrap with a little pressure on those areas.
I'm going to Mexico for a bachelor party in a couple weeks and I'm concerned about these being open with the ocean

You'll want to stay in touch with Avanti Derma. Could you provide photos? Or if you prefer, you can send them to
Perhaps @Avanti_Derma can chime in on general advice when experiencing these conditions if they wish to (it is at their discretion to reply to the Forums depending on the level of appropriateness since this an ongoing patient, and hence why I suggested general recommendations, not to be confused with Doctor's Orders), otherwise this very well may be a case-by-case matter, and in which case it's best to get in touch with the Office directly with pictures handy.
Without photos, and with both holes being areas that were previously healing, I still firmly believe what I initially surmised. Short of the holes growing in size or discharging fluids you haven't seen before, as well as the advent of pain and/or increased redness, I wouldn't rush to any conclusions at this stage and believe this can be just a matter of letting things heal. Suffice it to say, matters of this nature should have its solutions coming from your Performing Physician and not the Forum for the foreseeable future -- it's in your best interest.
Wishing you a speedy healing & recovery!

1 year 5 months ago #1308720626Just wanted to update this thread.
Everything healed up fine, I spoke with Avanti Derma and they helped me get the antibiotic I needed, it was a skin infection causing the healing to delay.
Fixed right away once I started on the medicine.
Procedure details:
I got 22ccs of Linnea Safe injected
15ccs of 30%
7ccs of 10%
________________________
Complete procedure timeline:
Original EG was 5.5"
- Alloderm graft (1 yr ago, if not slightly longer)
- 14ccs PMMA
(3 month gap)
- 20ccs PMMA
(3 month gap)
- 20 ccsPMMA
(3 month gap)
- 17ccs PMMA
(3 month gap)
- 22ccs PMMA
TOTAL: 93ccs PMMA + Alloderm graft at beginning
Current EG is now 7.5"

1 year 5 months ago #1308720627I have three nodules and it's a tiny bit flatter and bumpy around the area that was leaking. I plan on going back in a few months to even that out and help hide some of the nodules. Would another 20ccs be too much? I want to stay within a safe range
Thanks in advance!

Re: Finally got the Alloderm Graft + PMMA + Lig cut with Dr. Liu
1 year 5 months ago #1308720637I was curious because some people are over 7in here and some are under but I think if you are shorter in length people stop adding girth.
6x5to6x7 is at 8 inch girth and gsock27:

It would probably cost the same going for a touchup vs the full package at Avanti right?

Hi VT86,
I hope you're doing well. I haven’t heard from you since your post on January 25, 2025, and wanted to follow up regarding the "holes" you mentioned. Have they healed?
If they have, that's great. If not, I strongly recommend seeing your treating physician, as the presence of foreign bodies increases the risk of infection. It’s important to address any lingering issues promptly.
Take care,
Victor Liu, MD

VT86 wrote: @Skeptical_One I recall you mentioning in another thread that roughly 90ccs of PMMA seems to be where most individuals complete their girth journeys.

I don't recall the 90cc's quote specifically, but I would say keeping it under 100 cc's (mL's) in total would be a good benchmark to live by. The issue is that Bellafill (versus Linnea Safe) uses a fundamentally different carrier, and by that very nature makes the volume required per injection uncertain (something we're learning now that Bellafill has become more cost-effective as of the last 3-5 years, whereas before it was seldom, if ever spoken of due to cost-prohibition per volume). Until the sample size increases and I get more feedback from some of the Doctors, I can't say for certain where Bellafill's top-end is (and there are variables to consider, see below), but with Linnea Safe (per Avanti Derma), without a doubt under 100cc's is where you want to stay in totality (example: Round 1 - 20cc's; Round 2 - 15cc's; Round 3 - 18cc's; Round 4 - 12cc's = 65cc's in total I would contend is on the high side for most guys starting out with an average endowment).
You also have to take into account if you are doing 10% / 30% Linnea Safe -OR- 20% Bellafill. The higher percentage (of PMMA microspheres) correlates with a higher yield in terms of collagen produced, but conversely more susceptible to aesthetic irregularity.
Show-ers vs Growers also have to take note that more injections can further advance the pig-in-the-blanket appearance when flaccid. The only fix to this is figuring out what is causing your turtling (see the videos: Turtling Syndromes Part 1 & 2) and if possible, fix it.
Lastly, the amount of length you have is crucial. Long guys (especially 6.5" + ) can afford a bit more because there is just that much more area to go around. Less than 6"-6.5" and I'd be cautious with "20 or so cc's."
In your case specifically, I wouldn't be looking to go to the Doctor with a set volume as a means to fix any aesthetic irregularities. In fact, revision work seldom requires that much volume (again, Bellafill may be a bit different, but shouldn't be by much in this regard). You should instead ask for their opinion on what works best to correct any lingering nodules/etc and once that's resolved, perhaps be done with it (especially if you hit you original goal).
