Easier for the doctor and less expensive for the doctor doesn’t necessarily translate to better for the patient. Cannulas are expensive and would cut into ones profit margin, I understand that completely, but piercings of a dorsal vein with a sharp needle isn’t in best interest of a patient. In fairness, I can't say Dr. Emer commissioned said-theft or was aware of it, and they did take it down after Dr. Oates called them out for it. He's going for the "celebrity-type" surgeon status, so I can't say I care for his style but he's probably decent at what he does? I just feel like if you're in the LA area, just go see Dr. Tsay in Orange County who performs HA injections and has really good reviews across the board. The service, cost and experience were not positive. I did 14 units total - 9 Juvaderm HA / 5 Bellafill. I was 7" EL / 5.5" EG Before. Afterwards I was 7.25 EL / 6.25 EG. Was told the results should be permanent. Total cost was about $15k. They overcharged me and needed to be given a refund. Possibly an oversight but harder than it should of been to get a refund. Dr was really unreachable. Everything was handled through staff who was not that responsive and would have to follow up multiple times to get a response. Advice for aftercare was do nothing. No wrap, no massage, just leave it alone. Was given antibiotics for 10days and instructed to keep it clean, but dont mess with it. I did end up massaging and shaping and think I would of ended up with worse results if I had not done so. Had a couple small nodules but they seem to softening and fading. Overall happy with the result but the experience wasnt great with the office / staff.
