TOPIC: Awful circumcision, is there anything I can do? (Photos Inside)

Hi all, first time poster here. Reaching out in desperation for some advice.

I am a late 30s male who recently had elective Circumcision. I had a tight Foreskin around the head and decided to get it fixed once and for all (having previously had a lateral release which left an unsightly scar and didn't completely fix the issue). I'm American but live in Bangkok and had the process here conducted on insurance at a well known private hospital.

The Circumcision was a disaster. They used a stapler device, missed the actual area needed to be excised completely, and cut far too much healthy skin away in the process. I have a current legal case ongoing but in the interim, I wanted to reach out to see if there are any known specialists in Asia for penile plastic surgery that may be able to help correct the shape I've been left with. It's really knocked my confidence. Frankly, I've done my best to deal with this as best as I can but I'm distraught at the current situation. It's left me with considerable depression and knocked my confidence to the point of depression.

I've had a few consultations with urologists from other hospitals who have informed me there is too little skin to remedy the situation, but that this may improve over time. My thoughts are perhaps I can stretch the skin (as in Foreskin restoration techniques) enough to have this procedure redone by a qualified surgeon, or perhaps use filler to rectify the shape somewhat.

I've added before, immediately after surgery and the present situation with malformed shape and unsightly scar.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

You can fly to the US and get it revised by Dr. Cornell in Atlanta. He should be able to fix it. I def don’t know if anyone in Asia and you may be hard pressed to find someone on PhalloBoards who does. I’d invest time and money in the procedure and fly to the US if I were you. That’s not to say there is someone in Asia that can do it. Asia is a big place. You’re better off asking within medical circles though for a doctor who does revisions. You have time to research. You’ll have to wait about 6 months until you can get it revised. Do not talk to urologists who aren’t specialized in circs, only perform it on babies, or who don’t do cosmetic circs. It is a waste of your time. You need to talk to someone is very experienced and who specializes in cosmetic Circumcision and Revision.

Foreskin restoration works incredibly well. Buy a device and use it for 6 months to a year and this situation can be resolved. This isn't like penis lengthening when the success rate is inconsistent. Foreskin restoration genuinely works for everyone. You'll see results in the first few weeks, but be careful not to get over excited and start stretching aggressively. Slow and steady wins the race. It's very common for guys to grow enough skin to entirely cover their glans in a year or so. That's more skin than you'll need for a Revision surgery.

Personally I wouldn't bother consulting with any Dr's just yet, as they are going to need some skin to work with. Wait until the skin is restored then come back here and we can recommend a surgeon for you.

You really don't need to stress or lose anymore sleep over this. Foreskin restoration will sort you out. So it's far from a situation where all is lost.

He was very depressed following the loss of his foreskin, but within a month of using this, he could tell it was going to work and that's all he needed to feel 100% better. It's the knowledge of being confident that you are on the right path that will resolve this situation for you, more than the actual restoration. Once you've seen the evidence that it's working and that it's just a matter of time until you have sufficient skin, you'll feel fine.

Hoddle, you’re assuming the doctors he talked to know what they’re talking about. If they are anything like the one who did his circ there’s a good chance they are saying this based upon what works for their shit technique and what they’re comfortable with, not what is actually a possible route to take.

If he even needs to do that. We don’t know if it’s an issue. That’s what the doctors there were telling him.

How can it not be an issue? They've literally cut his skin off. The only way he'll resolve that is by creating more skin. There seems no point in any type of graft, as it doesn't seem to be restricting length. It's just a case of the hair baring skin being pulled up the shaft, due to too much skin being removed. So a graft wouldn't improve things cosmetically. The only way to do that is to restore as much shaft skin as possible.

can the OP please point out what is the after photo here? I’m confused as to where some of those photos are in the process. I’m assuming though the first photo is the after. How long after? And can you take pics of different angles? Is there no inner Foreskin left? What is it like Erect?

Hoddle, circumcisions take skin off. Who is saying there isn’t enough skin left for a Revision? The staple doctors? For all we know these doctors have performed one or two revisions if any in their life.

It’s easy to see there isn’t enough skin for a Revision. Look at the last photo. The area above the scar is all the shaft skin that remains. The skin below that is hair bearing skin that has been pulled up the shaft, due to a lack of shaft skin. To correct this he needs to create more shaft skin. Once he has enough, a Revision surgery can be done to remove some of the hairy skin, as there should then be sufficient shaft skin to cover the area.

@BrokenTH, I've drawn a couple of lines, so you can see the amount of extra skin you need to create from stretching. I'd say it's roughly an Inch and should be very achievable in about a year. I know the bottom the line isn't right at the juncture of the penis and groin area, but it perfectly normal to have a bit a hair bearing skin an Inch or so up the shaft. Your issue is that is goes way too far up, so you need to be able to reduce it. If you create an Inch of extra shaft skin, a good surgeon should have no problem removing the hairy skin, correcting the scar (use silicone sheets post op and tacking it to the base, to ensure it stays in place. Basically the surgeon would cut the skin between the lines away and stitch it together, whilst the new shaft skin will provide sufficient slack, so that it doesn't yank more skin up from the pubic/scrotal region. It should look completely normal again after that.

Miro Djordevic in Serbia will be able to do that for a few thousand euros. Not in Thailand, I know, but still way cheaper than US prices and he's extremely experienced.

Thank you for the prompt and helpful replies. I've rearranged the photos in the original post to reflect the correct order.

To answer some of the questions, I've been to two subsequent urologists who have both stated that the Flaccid length is probably around an Inch shorter than it should be / was before. They also stated there is not enough skin left to perform a Revision, bit did state the length would improve in time. There was no mention of skin stretch / restoration techniques, which is why I've come to you all for some first hand advice.

My concern is that disproportionately more skin on the underside has been removed than on the top, which may pose an additional challenge. One of the urologists did provide me with a steroidal cream to apply around the tight band between the current scar and the head (the area they were supposed to excise but somehow missed), do you believe this would be a benefit to the stretching regimine?

Hoddle - thank you for taking the time to draw the diagram and for the reccomendation of the catstretcher. I'll order this right away to get started on what seems like it may be a long journey.

All this being said, I am extremely grateful for your replies, and for giving me some semblance of hope. After witnessing the aftermath and having to endure the last 6 months of recovery, having 2 urologists tell me there is simply nothing that can be done was absolutely devastating.

This is fixable. It's just not currently fixable.

You might find that once the device arrives, that you don't have sufficient skin to attach it. In which case you will have to start of using t-tapes. They are actually the best method for Foreskin restoration in my opinion, but you have to go to the effort of making them yourself, which most like to avoid, so the sake of paying for a cheap device. I am useless at all arts and crafts stuff, yet even I found making t-tapes really easy.

My thoughts on your photo would be that given there is tightness between the penis head and the scar, that the doctor would cut out the existing scar, and the tight band, and reconnect closer to the head.

The current scar positioning is abnormal, and I think I'd prefer a more classic cut where the incision is closer to the head. As in the attached. I would hope that the stretching would allow enough extra skin from the base to allow for this. What do you think? As for the hairy shaft, yes this is an issue, but can be solved I believe with electrolysis.

Also pumping will be beneficial. It stretches all the tissues of the penis, so I highly recommend buying a Penis Pump. Whenever things are being constricted by scarring and lack of tissue, pumping is very useful. Maybe consider low does Cialis, so you get plenty of night time Erection activity.
