I think the 'no sex for 14 days' is the usual thing, never heard anyone on this forum waiting 6 weeks ever (i think maximum i ever read was 4 weeks). The infection comes through the entry holes i guess? (And i guess normally they are closed after 7 days maximum in normal cases)
I would guess a condom would decrease the risk of infection immensly, i guess that's perhaps a good new security measure for the first 4 weeks.
If i remember correctly right after the procedure everyone gets an antibiotic - my theory right now is that if the entry holes close very late, then there is a window of danger.
