TOPIC: My journey with Dr. Victor Liu - Alloderm & Ligament (for girth & length)

12 ml is OK as long as the urethra and its immediate surrounding is not invaded and the filler is evenly injected over the rest of the penis.. The other area to be careful is the Frenulum and its immediate surrounding because the filler will tend to migrate unevenly to this area and causes unevenness and lumpiness.
I am sure your treating doctor is well aware of all these.

Bellafill is 20% PMMA at 0.8mL per syringe, making it 0.16mL of actual PMMA microspheres per syringe. You'd need 12.5 syringes of Bellafill to get to 10cc of this stuff, if Dr Liu's compounded filler is 20% concentration (though the carriers are different, but AFAICT the volume of PMMA spheres is what affects stimulation of collagen, and the carrier ends up irrelevant to this variable in the long run). Simpler, if you got 10CC of 20% PMMA, that would be 2mL of PMMA spheres.

The two Linnea that are cellulose based, and more similar, are 10% per mL and 30% per mL. Each come in 1mL syringes I believe, so a syringe of the former gives you 0.1mL of PMMA spheres, the latter 0.3mL. 10CC of 10% gives you 1mL of PMMA spheres, 10CC of 30% gives you 3mL of PMMA spheres.

All that to say - for a comparison, knowing the concentration is going to be significant.

Thanks @itgoesthud makes total sense. I had forgotten the specific concentrations between Bella and Linnea. In this particular case I didn’t care as much because I wasn’t looking for maximum size increase - more so I had some specific aesthetic goals in mind and trusted the doc to do what’s necessary to get me there. Good to know about the specific concentrations though! And would eventually be curious to learn the concentration of this one.

Got it. But to understand it correct: In your practice you also go all around the shaft? Like „360°“ ? So the urethra is also covered ?

20% PMMA

Here are photos 4 weeks post-PMMA touch up.

In the photo grid the photo on the left is prior to PMMA and the middle and right photo are both today, 4 weeks later.

At weeks 2-3 I went through a bit of a deflation as swelling had gone away and whatever the carrier agent is also likely did too. If I remember reading correctly this is similar to the timeline of Linnea. I felt like the Bellafill carrier stuck around for much longer (that's what it does) and I also felt like that led to more irregularities, especially temporarily. I expect additional collagen growth over the next few weeks and months, but I would say I achieved my touch-up goals. This is also the first time I can say that, at least at this point, I have zero lumps, clumps, nodules, etc.

My touch-up goals were:
- Fill in area around circ scar a bit to reduce the 'shelf' look - here Dr. Liu only used a tiny bit because he said the skin is thin and prone to nodules and I must say this turned out PERFECTLY. Really pleased here.
- I felt like the quarter or of my shaft on the left (when looking at the pic) and closest to the base was more deflated than other areas so we focused the fill here. It is definitely more filled now and looks more uniform with the rest of the shaft.

I have a natural curve to the left.. The goal of getting the filler wasn't to eliminate that although I would say the improved uniformity helps a bit. Does anyone know if stretching helps with straightening?

For those who are just finding my thread and confused by the title I started this journey about a year and a half ago. It's pretty crazy to look at pics before all that. In my opinion (the only one that counts right?) it looks a heck of a lot better and am 10000% more confident in bed now. I've included a pic of before everything as well for comparison.

My timeline:
- June 2023: Alloderm + Fat in shaft, ligament cut, Bellafill + Voluma in glans
- Aug 2023: Bellafill touchup, 9cc in shaft - mostly to fill in areas around the Alloderm where the initial fat didn't stick around
- Oct 2023: Bellafill touchup, 8cc in shaft - to address some unevenness
- Sep 2024: Touchup with new PMMA (20% as Dr Liu shared), 10cc in shaft

@SouthBay612 is your filler 360 - all around the shaft?

@PmmaFan my underside was addressed in my very first procedure with Alloderm and Fat. Fat was implanted on the underside. I have not needed to do any filler touchups here as it already looks uniform with the rest. My Alloderm extends to my underside, with exception of the urethra area - I believe that is where fat was used to keep things symmetrical. @PhalloplasticSurgeon_DrLiu would need to confirm.

Can they put fat or Alloderm on top of the pmma to make it look better? I like my size but have craters. Not sure if another round of pmma will fix that.

Not really sure about that. I think you’d have to talk to the doctor to see what the best options are. Fat can be hit or miss… if I did it all over again I would have done Alloderm + PMMA on procedure 1 instead of Alloderm + Fat. Fat can be unpredictable and not all of it survives so it can lead to the same irregularities.

Thanks for sharing in such detail your journey! I'm interested in how you've found your glans enhancement over time - looks to have remained bigger with recent photos but curious on your thoughts about the merits and results of your procedure for it.

@turle28 it still looks good. I think it is possible it has lost a small amount of size over time but that would make sense since it was an HA/PMMA mix. It’s a bit hard to judge since I didn’t take measurements. I still think it was worthwhile, although like you have heard of mixed results.
