TOPIC: Had PMMA done and not very happy with it

Had the procedure done about 3 weeks ago with Dr. C. Not sure I have been happy with the aesthetic outcome. In my greediness at the time of the procedure, I told Dr. C to make my unit as big as he could, which he obliged. I fear now that I look TOO big and disproportional. One of the things also that I was hoping with this procedure was to help it to stop my Turtling/retracting problem, which it may have helped partially, but it is still occuring, and since I have so much loose skin near the glans (was a very loose cut circ), now I have a huge balloon that envelops the glans and just looks pretty awful. This doesn't seem to be related to any fluid/edema that I can see, feels like the PMMA material. I really am hoping things will settle down over time, but getting a bit discouraged. If it came to the point I just didn't like how anything looks, is there any options for removing this PMMA? Are there any doctors out there that have any experience in that? Is it better to look at this before significant granulation occurs or wait? Luckily I don't experience any pain like I've heard some people have had.

Im sorry to hear that, especially since I have a loose circ scar too. However, greed will not be my agenda. How much was injected and what are your stats pre and post?

That is indeed unfortunate. Can you upload pictures? PMMA can be removed. I'm unaware of a surgeon who possesses adequate experience in performing Removal of the implant. I too would like to have one in my phonebook. *One can never be too prepared.*

3 weeks is still pretty early. I had a "fat pad" type area that was causing me concern after round 1. It took about 6 weeks to completely settle. Even after 2 months the PMMA seemed to settle a bit more.
Give it time before you start looking to remove it.

Agree -- 3 weeks is too early to make decisions.

The consensus of everyone I've talked to is to leave the PMMA alone, and removing it can be much worse than just leaving it alone.

I'm dealing with a more serious issue than aesthetics, as I'm having a chronic inflammation response that I'm dealing with day by day ...

Well definitely will have no choice but to leave it alone for now. Wouldn't be able to do anything probably for several months with my work schedule. Will try to get some photos up later. If I did leave it I can tell it needs touch ups as Dr. C said it would, but just not sure I like the overall size of this thing and the prominent pad on the underside near the glans. Really wish I had just said make me a LITTLE bigger rather than monstrous. My glans is a little small which makes the shaft diameter look off in comparison. I had about 25 to 28 cc's put in. 10% near the top, 20% mid shaft and 30% at base. The 30% I think is too much, that area is definitely harder and clumped in a few places.

Whatever you do, don't get caught in a mental circle of anxiety. I was in a terrible place last month ... still recovering ... but just stay positive.

You've only had it for 3 weeks. Chances are it will change... and probably improve. In fact, it definitely will ... mine subsided a lot over the first few months.

I think it's natural to be hyperfocused on anything new in our lives. A new car, a new house, a new boat, or ... a new penis.

I remember when I bought a new car, it had a scratch only a few weeks afterwards. I was so super pissed... why? .. because I was hyperfocused on that particular item. It was new, and I wanted it to be and stay perfect.

Luckily, your penis situation, unlike a new car will likely improve overtime when it comes to size deflation.

Sorry to hear rkcinflorida. I have the same concerns about this happening to me when I have Rd 1 done. I have extra skin from years of pumping & I can turtle when Flaccid if I'm not on my strecting routine so, I'm worried about having a ballon effect also. Please post pics & stats, would be appreciated. But, like everyone says its probably way too early to judge its final outcome. Goodluck

I understand the Turtling and flaccide balloon affect. What about Erect? what are your feelings there?

Ok here goes, here are my pictures. In the Flaccid state, I instantly turtle and there is a large layer of PMMA that rolls up on that underside, plus a thicker than it used to be layer on the top part. Do some of those PMMA beads adhere to the under surface of the skin? If I do have this removed, I sense this may be problematic. I don't see any other option if this doesn't settle down other than to be degloved if I want all of this out.

Just give it some time. It looks fine to me when you stretch your shaft. Flaccid is normal too as far as I can see....give it time...

I really do not think you have anything to worry about as far as aesthetics. It looks good, in my opinion. You definitely have the appearance of being uncut now, not that that is a bad thing. I think it was a good outcome.
