Hey bighat. I am also 5" EL(about 6"BPEL, guess is should work out, lol). But I've been concerned with the aesthetics of being 5X6. Does your unit look shorter then it use to now that you are thicker? grats on the good results!

Beta,One advantage you have is ability to consider fat pad reduction. Inspite of being stocky, I have only modest fat pad BPEL only a tad > than EL. Dr. C still recommends I consider fat pad reduction for lenght. I think if I did that I'd want them to take the fat out of my stomach too lol. So here's the deal: 1) As a super Grower, in Flaccid state, especially when I pull on glans to pop it out of its "blanket" my unit is MUCH longer, but still looks short vs. any shower. I am longer, I imagine now, vs. many short side growers. I am quite happy to walk around naked in the gym vs. NEVER done that in my life, even as there are plenty of Grower dudes that are bigger. I feel like I "fit" in. 2) In Erect state my units aesthetics have only suffered due to the deflated area above circumsicion line. I do not think that I have too much Girth for the size, even with smaller typed glans. As a straight man, I am enamored with function over form. I can't imagine any girl calling me "small" now. At 6.5"+ at base I would probably be the thickest they have ever had. Remember all those CCs I got go over a smaller surface area! Yet, to my eye the unit is not that big, which is probably due to shortness which means lack of overall mass/volume. However if you grab it it is HUGE and my wife barely gets hands around it. Bottom line: would not worry about aestetics of 5x6 vs the aesthics you already have! IT will help to have a bigger glans, but not essential. Biggest risk is aesthtics of how PMMA settles on any unit.

This is entirely untrue. Over 30% of the members of PhalloBoards that have undergone PMMA have experienced complications. There are many new cases of Nodule formation as of recent. To think that aesthetics are the "worst case scenario" is both fool-hearty and dangerous. Most complications are not being shared on the forum due to varying reasons. EP and I have received countless PM's, emails, etc. from patients that have complications ranging from aesthetics to severe (requiring emergency surgery). Please don't assume there is no risk in PMMA. That would be a completely false statement.

The above post is not meant as a scare tactic. It is meant to serve as a public service announcement. No procedure is without complication. The notion of a bigger penis is a mighty strong incentive in most men. Unfortunately, many men forget to research the procedure before committing to it. I would recommend that one reads every post here and at the old site. Also read all medical literature you can find on the subject. PMMA bioplasty is still in it's infancy! It has zero long term studies proving it safe or effective (long term).

Yes, you'll leave Tijuana with a bigger penis. That is guaranteed. Whether you'll experience nodules, Necrosis, impotency, irregularities, foreign body granuloma, infection or other, there is no such guarantee. All of these are real complications and have occured at some point. Thus the need for the preoperative forms you fill out and sign; holding the physician and his medical practice "faultless" in the event something goes wrong. All Phalloplasty surgeons use these forms/waivers.

I personally believe PMMA is the best option (other than leaving well enough alone). It's easy to find glowing Progress Reports here. The ugly stuff is either not reported or vanishes in a thread only to be resurrected in light of a new patient's complication. Most complications are aesthetic in nature but definitely not all of them. Nobody wants to hear anything negative; they just want a larger penis. When your penis is larger and you're happy, you'll shout it from the rooftops! When your penis develops nodules and red areas that are painful, you tend to seek medical treatment. - Not share it with the world. - In the near future, E.P. and I will update the forum so that it more accurately conveys/reflects the possible negative consequences of PMMA, FFT, PLGA SCAFFOLDS, DFG, etc.

There is no substitute for education. Best wishes in whichever route you take. It is my greatest wish that new members and old alike undergoing Phalloplasty, are aware and informed patients and that they are provided with the knowledge and experience this forum has to offer. I hope they achieve their personal goals in as safe a fashion as possible and with a much reduced chance of developing complications.

IF you are a PERFECTIONIST about your body PMMA is going to be high risk. Stick to 10%! I had zero issues at 10% but also only a modest result. 20% is a neutron bomb as I see it...

@Miracle7: Bro' I should have for sure re-phrased "biggest risk" and said the "the most likely problem," because that is what I meant i.,e.g, biggest = as most common, not WORST case. This was in the CONTEXT of the question I was asked about Girth with small length DIRECTLY and not a GENERAL comment about the procedure. Poor choice of words nevertheless. However, I have been reading the boards for some time and would classify ALL the suboptimal outcomes REPORTED here as falling into "aesthetic" or "superficial" category. This includes nodules for sure as a Nodule is not a health threat as I know it. Miracle, you've come up with a 30% number that is NOT documented in way. And under your reporting I'd probably have to fall in that 30% since I consider my uneveness above Circumcision line suboptimal. Yet i am 100% happy so far vs. expectations and guidance. I am not doubting you but we continue to hear cryptic claims e.g., "emergency surgery" that are very worrisome without any context. I don't know anyone here that wants to shut the risk side down, exceptoddly for the "priviledged group" that includes you that WHISPERS the problems with no clear facts. This is worrying and unfair to the board. For sure there are reasons why that person would not disclose but we could give some "hypothetical" problem outcomes, that are not about aesthetics. I ask: do you REALLY know anyone whose impotency was caused by PMMA first hand? Necrosis? I don't mean to make false statements it was unintentional, but taking the other side may be unncessarily alarmist given the facts on the ground as we know them. If you truly know otherwise it really is your duty to share specifics (not people, but issues). Again I think it is untrue on your end that "nobody" wants to hear the ugly stuff. I DO. I think MOST do. You simply are not sharing. Again we need context. Some dude who already had FFT and then gets a major problem or just a normal bloke? etc. Are you just referring to the studies which also give no context e.g., Necrosis in PMMA procedure stats vs. ANY injection etc.

Ok so I am coming in on 5 weeks Thursday:1) No loss in gains I can measure. At base I am 6.5". I am 5.5" MSEG. I am 5" Flaccid. That is 0.3-0.5" larger than my pre PMMA EG!2) The area that is a bit deflated above Circumcision line is improving i.e., filling in. This may allow me to delay round 3.3) I have a fat unit, but lack of length (only 5" EL) prevents me from having the full deluxe ride.4) Magnum condom is way too tight! Wow. Make me wonder: How big are these guys in porn?

EP,Thanks for the note. A couple things:1) If I have disprespected M7 he should come out and say it, not you. Frankly M7 inserted himself in MY thread and took my comments about RISK totally and 100% out of context, as I was talking about the risk related to the posters DIRECT QUESTION to me, not of the overall procedure. 2) Dude you seem like a good guy, and I have benefited from your comments, but you have not conducted any study. You have merely studied information (not data!) provided by message board posters, that many of us DO NOT HAVE DIRECT ACCESS TO. The protocol around REAL study would blow you away.3) No one is denying complications but I am getting aggravated because it seeems like some are "in the know" and others aren't. It is unrealistic for board members to have to sift through dozens of pages of stuff posted elsewhere related to comments at hand.4) You points on nodules are well taken and accepted. The issue here is not my disprespect but information assymetry between some members of this community and others. It is difficult to proceed when others server as the filter of key information, when that information is far from precise.Peace

One thing I'l like to know is if there is any driver behind complications. Why do 30% (let's say it's reasonable #) have complications. Thickness of skin? % PMMA? Time between procedures? I would like to be helpful, not cause arguments! I appreciate the board.

BTW: Original poster asked me "I've been concerned with the aesthetics of being 5X6" In my answer I said my opinon of the biggest risk in my opinion was (TO AESTHETICS!!!)

I do not feel disrespected. You have to understand that not all patients are comfortable sharing complications with the forum. My only gripe with your post was that you suggested that the worst case scenario was poor aesthetics... which simply isn't the case. I have always stated that I feel personally, PMMA is the best option for increasing one's Girth aside from, "leaving well enough alone". Phalloplasty is wrought with horror stories from all methods (including PMMA). I believe the incidence of what I call serious complications from PMMA is rare and/or treatable. I am not one to encourage anyone to undergo a medical procedure. It isn't my place. I am happy that you have been a benefactor of PMMA and without complication. I have no qualms with you sharing your story with others... that is what the forum is for.

I do have reservations when one does not acknowledge...

that every procedure is different and there are risks associated with the procedure.that every individual will respond differently to treatment and may experience better/worse results or complications.
PMMA at this point in time, cannot be dubbed "The Magic Bullet". There are far too many unknowns. While I appreciate your optimism, I'd appreciate it if you would abstain from outright recommending the procedure to a total stranger.

M7: Agree wiht everything yout say. Outcomes for me SO FAR have been positive so I am probably overly enthusiastic. PMMA is pretty powerful stuff and (what seem to be manageable, so far) complications do seem common.
