I got him a "real" gift from Cross, but I thought this was pretty funny. Do you think he'll get the joke...? Is it even funny or am I just strange? I didn't want to get something over-the-top that was penis-related. But this seemed to fit. He has a good sense of humor though...he might get it. Since I was awake during the procedures, he's just funny how he talks to the resident - and then at the end is like "ok get the mesh panties!" which is just this gauze underwear they put on you to hold all the bandages in. That's when he said "in a few weeks you'll be all set to go back to tijuana". That might have been some snark on his part, but he's pretty amusing...especially for a surgeon. Ugh, great! I was in the store for like 1 hour picking out things for people (lower budget things for people I don't see much but just to be nice) and thought this was funny. Smalljay, I don't think I can go back to Avanti Derma since I didn't leave this situation on the best terms. It's probably not a good idea, either - since my doc won't fix anything if anything goes wrong. The time and expense of going back there repeatedly is also prohibitive to an extent. I don't know.
