You made the right decision. Imagine how you'd deal with these delays if you had a complication.
You are right. I wanted it to be the right solution for me so badly. But yeah, I feel better about cancelling.

Re: Dr C and temporary fillers
9 years 11 months ago #1293453736I figured it couldn't be all that different and either way it's just HA so worst case scenario I get it dissolved. I backed out due to price, but at this point I kinda wish I would have done it. I didn't know about Macrolane's cheapness at the time. Voluma lasts the longest but it, along with most of other HA's will run you like $475/cc! Macrolane is more like $325/cc and still lasts about a year, maybe more according to the marketing info.
Strange, I've heard even about Macrolane prices of about 30USD/cc in Czech Republic

What I'm having a hard time finding out.. is if there is a problem with this stuff moving around while you are hard during sex. Is this "squishier" than the PMMA? Or does it set up?
I *think* I'm taking the "safer" route here. But between now and my appointment, I'll be doing more research.
Gulp.
You will not notice it moving around during sex - at least that is what my patients report. Good choice and good luck!

Imagine the stress of having PMMA around your penis with absolutely NO knowledge of how it will affect you years down the road? My plan is to stick with the temporary fillers. Unfortunately I havent gotten my first injection yet, so I can't contribute with experience.
You might be right, we'll see. It does make me nervous that we really don't have any long term reports on PMMA in this situation (10+ years) and frankly too many reports of lumps, nodules etc as well.

Yes. Nothing personal, they seem like good people. But I'm not buying tires here. I had some very specific questions that weren't answered. The office manager sent one list of temp fillers, only to find out that they don't carry any of them anymore. Just didn't feel right.
They were very good about issuing a prompt refund though.

Re: Dr C and temporary fillers
9 years 11 months ago #1293257704I would say- if it does what they say it does, it's MY best option I think. I would like to see some before and after pics to compare though for sure.
My travel schedule and living arrangements are a little messed up at the moment. Hope to have another look at this when things settle. I think Dr. C needs to make a commitment on Ellanse though. I wouldn't want to get it, and need a fill up/ touch up and have him say they stopped carrying it.

Yes, this email was received last week.
Did he mention why they weren't offering it anymore? I really need to get some details nailed down on the temp fillers before I go down there.
