Basically because it changes in size so much from flaccid to erect, then grafting is a challenge, as the material needs to stretch and often it doesn't, which is further complicated by the formation of scar tissue. If your penis is 3" flaccid and 6" erect, then it's not hard to understand why grafts often lead to shortening and fibrosis. Then there is the issue of blood supply. If you search this site you'll find several members who have had tissue death due to grafts. Don3, UncleJJ, Trying, Bonehead and craigcoasty are all members who off the top of my head I can remember who have experienced tissue death due to grafts. Recently we had a member called TheAlchemist, who had his penis completely destroyed by a graft procedure. I will be able to reveal more about his case at the end of May, but it's about as bad as you can imagine. But all PE surgeons have their fair share of these cases. Surgery and the penis just don't mix well.
