Degloving seems to give the best aesthetic results.If he can still get erections/function sexually/no pain etc i would also consider this a success.so this is the second doctor who can remove it.

I am thinking the incision lines will get better with time. The final picture was taken only 2 months post op. If the functionality, sensation and so on were back to normal, Then this is a great success story.

Can some one tell me why the surgeon had to do multiple incision to the shaft skin? Could he not have degloved the shaft by one incision at the cir scar and another one at the bottom or side of the shaft? That would have been a better choice ( if it was possible to do of course)

My length is back to pretty much normal, sex is normal too... I had a Kenalog shot last week, it's a little weird feeling but the penis is Hanging normally... so I'm pretty happy with my decision... I just couldn't deal with the pain from the inflammation... I'm thinking I just had a auto immune response to the PMMA...

I continue to have chest pains, they come and go... most likely it's GERD, but I'm not taking any chances, I went and got a pelvis and chest MRI yesterday to see if there is any PMMA causing the issues in my chest and to see what's left in the pelvis from a PMMA standpoint.

I agree with Hoodle's posts on all points... be careful of that 30% ...

This is a great thread. My penis was degloved during my peyronie's surgery. It looks great! The incision lines do fade with time. Other than some PMMA aesthetic issues, my tree trunk looks gorgeous. THIS IS MY 2,OOOth post! Woot!

Hopefully there is no one who has this and not reporting this. I believe that although this is obviously a real concern, that the high level of integrity and care from Dr. C and crew will not generate this out come! Although Dark had problems, I believe ( no disrespect intended) he was convinced from reading horror stories and what not and may have over reacted ( if me in the same spot could have done the same thing) But please know Dark your involvement and posts have been priceless to us. So if no news from patients is good news, Dr. C 's success rate is very impressive as in regards to PE. So I believe articles like this are needed and need to be taken into consideration .....Although I believe that there is a good chance that the patient did not receive the quality of care or materials that Dr. C gives. So I hope current PMMA recipients don't freak out and future ones take heed!

This is such an important article, as it's the first case we've encountered of a concern I've raised before. It sounds as if the reason the guy had to have it removed was because the tissue hardened and acted like a clamp, preventing erections. I don't want to scare people, as it isn't totally clear that this is the case, but if so it really does suggest large quantities and 30% is a very bad idea. I am speculating, but it's something I've mentioned before. In my opinion the risks are far greater the more one has injected and I get the impression that most are of the opinion that this isn't the case. To me the key it to avoid Removal, as I've warned before there is a high chance you'll lose your shaft skin, as this guy did.

Though it's all the same thing, we have to keep in mind that 30% is 3 times as dense, so the it might as well be a totally different graft material. Also Prof Lemperle said that granuloma's tend to grow between 3-5 times the size of the amount injected. I find it very difficult to believe that smaller granulomas aren't easier to treat than big one's.

Any competent Urologist could remove it. But you don't want them to attempt to. It isn't a case of choosing which method gives the best aesthetic result either. If degloving is an option they will do it. But when something is injected into the penis it's difficult to tell if it's going above or below the fascia, hence some people report it moving with the skin and others don't.

It doesn't matter if it's fat, PMMA or liquid silicone, it can all be cut out. But when doing so you are taking the risk of Necrosis. If the stuff is stuck to the skin, then, as in the example, the only option is to remove that entire section of skin.

More lurkers need to take a few moments of their precious time and start progress reports. Many of those who already have them should update more often and in more detail.

let me remind you that there were some Drs. (butchers) performing this surgery only to make money and they have a very high dissatisfaction rate (with the exception of Dr. Samy Passy).
I don't know if this is will happen when the surgery is done with the proper material and technique.
