I've had so many surgeries now, but it's only for the last couple that I've really come to grasp just how long it takes swelling and inflammation to go down. I had rock hard tissue just below my Frenulum for about 8 months before it eventually settled down. Given that foreign body reaction is basically what PMMA is about, I can imagine that in many cases it could take several months or even longer before the final result is seen. I became convinced they were bits of scaffold that hadn't dissolved from PLGA surgery I'd had nearly 2 years earlier!
