It's not like silicone or other fillers. PMMA is particulate, so it probably wont show up. But don't go getting this stuff removed. It will be a nightmare to cut out and even then I doubt they'll remove it all. Also, given that only 3% of the beads are even smaller enough to theoretically migrate, then that means at the very most, 0.06 cc of PMMA could have migrated. Obviously that wont be the case, as not all that could have would have. In fact it's unlikely any has. When you consider all the other particles that get moved around the human body, I still don't get the worry of PMMA migrating. Obviously if it's injected directly into vessels at the point of injection, then we've seen this can have tragic consequences, but the chances of this are close to zero when using a micro cannula. I just can't imagine the CIA have PMMA beads in their arsenal for assassinations. I think the worst thing if a person who has overcorrection of PMMA (--->PMMA Removal for aesthetic reason) then I am sure he will think about removing PMMA (partially or totally), so I advise everyone who decide for PMMA injection go for small volume and wait for a longer interval between each sessions (you are not doing any harm to your penis if you wait longer) and go for few sessions only and never be addict for more+more Girth. Last thing you want is your penis ends up disfigured from Removal and you find out PMMA didn't cause it. I get my results back from my GI doctor, and follow-up with a new doctor early in the year. I had penile inflammation about 2 months ago that resolved itself. My constant feeling of fatigue, AFIB attacks and chest pain hopefully is related to a GI issues ... and not something else like Liver... however I'm not jaundice --- so lets hope its not that either. I also am going to see a Urologist who is familiar with PMMA here in Austin ... this should help me get a better grasp on things. I think Bigben hits the nail on the head... if you are neurotic about your health, then this procedure is something you might want to reconsider... (e.g. my brain keeps telling me "this health issues started 4 months after my procedure --- how can it not be related!") ... my brain is wrapped around the axel with that thinking --- so I think CHL does have some points about seeing a psychologist ... which I'll also do in Jan... I'll continue to update the board as I figure out whats going on with me. So Dr. D. Cassuto's reason for not having a permanent fillers injected into our penis is because of Foreign Body Granuloma formation and it's management. The most important Q. is :- Is FBG a serious complication or NOT ?? If the answer is yes ---> it means also the other temporary fillers he listed them are also dangerous and they shouldn't be used in the body and not only in the penis , I would like to know why did he treat the temporary fillers ( e.g. collagen, Puragen-HA and Matridex) (some of them as we know will be absorbed completely within 6-8 months) with the laser which is painful and can cause permanent scarring, that was his words???? He might say that these are temporary fillers are safer than the permanent ones but he still used the same treatment (Laser with its complications) for both types ??? Cohen said the best treatment for FBG is just leave it it will resolve spontaneously. The chance of having FBG in the worst pmma generation (Arteplast) was high (2.5 %) and since 1994 they stopped producing it. In (Artecoll) the 2nd generation the chance of having FBG is around (1:5000). I think the worst thing about PMMA is if you decide to remove it totally for any reason (which can be only by surgery) ---> the chance of skin necrosis is high. So anyone who decide to go for PMMA penile injection ---> he shouldn't go for a big volume. His response is appropriate and very understandable. Right now he does not have a diagnosis, so we should not jump to conclusions. Hang in there. I am sure by working with the right medical professionals they can get a better idea of what is going on with your body. Right now, you don't have answers so its challenging, but I am sure with time they will be able to get a better grasp on things. He treated 21 patients ( 20 women and 1 man) all had facial injection :- 7 patients with Dermalive.5 patients with Artecoll (PMMA).4 patients with Bio-Alcamid.1 patient with Acrylate.1 patient with Sculptra.1 patient with Matridex.1 patient with Puragen- HA.1 patient with Collagen. He mentioned also :- Until now, treatment of granulomas or infectious or cystic lesions from injected gels has primarily been medical--- antibiotics (before biofilm formation), steroids, fluorouracil, or hyaluronidase locally and systemically. From there, treating physicians have jumped to incision, but surgery with local anesthesia can be imprecise in an inflamed area. There is bleeding during the proce- dure, and some scarring is inevitable. Therefore, if invasive or intralesional laser-assisted treatment proved to be 100% effective, surgery could be completely avoided. In conclusion :- His method of treatment is only for localized (e.g Granuloma or infectious or cystic) lesion and not for total Removal of PMMA . So the treatment of PMMA granuloma will be in this order :- 1- Antibiotic ( before the formation of bio-film).2- Kenalog / 5 FU intra-lesion injection (you might need multiple sessions) if failed3- 808 nm diode laser (you might need more than one session).4- surgery for Removal of the Granuloma ( the last option ). So I was diagnosed with 3 conditions from my GI scope a few weeks back: 1. H.pylori 2. Barrets Esophagus 3. Haitus Hernia ... Which is good news... it means that all my worries and concerns about Migration are inaccurate. I'm on 2 antibodics for the H.pylori... for 3 days now, and its already got me feeling much better. Not all good news however -- I still have a swollen penis around the base. My PMMA seems to have formed mostly around the base of my penis, where most of the swelling has taken place. The 1st time it started to swell was after I read the CHL report on migration to the lymph node, and I tried finding mine, and I think I was too rough with myself... I then started to get better, and I think I overused him, and now hes swollen again. I asked Wade for recommendations he said 600mg of Ibuprofen -- but with my stomach issues I'm not taking the full dose... This might be a stupid question, but could the antibodics be causing some of the unusual swelling, or the achy pain just right of my groin? At least my mind is not in the dark and crazy place it was over holidays, and I can take a deep breath without chest pain.
