 I came across this study on pubmed today. It's from 2017 but i think it's still relevant. It's a study designed to find the optimal Dick size, in both length and Girth. Methodology included compiling data from the top 5 sex toy retailers and Amazon; they averaged the size of the top selling dildos. So the concept behind it is, if people could purchase the optimally sized Dick to have inserted into their body, these are the sizes people choose:

"RESULTS:The average insertive length of the compiled dildos (16.7 ' 1.6 cm = 6.57 inches) was 1 SD longer than average functional Erect penile length as reported in the literature (15.7 ' 2.6 cm = 6.18 inches); however, their average circumference (12.7 ' 0.8 cm = 5 inches) mirrored average Erect penile Girth (12.3 ' 1.3 = 4.8 inches). The average Girth of vendors' top 3 largest-Girth dildos was 15.1 ' 0.9 cm (5.9 inches), 2 SD wider than average Erect penile Girth."

SO. The average "optimal" size would be 6.57 inches in length and 5 inches in Girth. The average Girth from the top 3 largest dildos was about 6 inches.

I think it's a novel concept and circumvents the issue of similar studies where women look at dildos and choose which size they think would be optimal; this is what people are actually desiring/purchasing/using, and includes a large set of data.

Provides some ball-park numbers for those wondering how big to shoot for, or where we stand in terms of what people desire if they could personally choose.
