Dr. Rupeka says 7-10 days. I waited almost 2 weeks. I believe Linneasafe takes less time to set than Bellafill. I would also stop doing any pe other than manual stretches grabbing the head or a noose type stretcher. No pumping either, supposedly doing so early could cause deformations or dents. But sex seems to be okay after a couple weeks. Our recommendation to avoid sex after filler is based on three factors: 1. Skin healing: Filler placement requires skin entry points, whether with a needle or cannula. These need time to fully heal. In many patients this occurs within one week, but in all patients healing can be expected by two weeks. 2. Initially, the filler has not yet integrated into the surrounding tissue and is foreign body. During this early period, it is more susceptible to infection. This is similar to other medical implants, which carry a higher infection risk until the body encapsulates and/or incorporates them. Allowing time for this process reduces risk. Two weeks is generally sufficient. 3. Bacterial exposure: Intercourse involves contact with areas that are not bacteria-free. This introduces an additional infection risk when combined with recent skin penetration and a newly placed foreign material. For these reasons, our practice recommends avoiding sexual activity for two weeks after treatment. There is no absolute rule, and recommendations may vary by provider. If there are any concerns, patients should always follow the guidance of their treating physician.
