TOPIC: Traveling Abroad during the Pandemic for PMMA

I'm in Canada and it looks like Air Canada's flight plans for bookings start to normalize from June 29th and on... so they must be getting ready to return to half normal. Flights from then moving forward are all right around $400ish CDN and prior to that are $1,000+ so...

I really want my next session, hopefully soon!

The trip back to the USA went just as smoothly as coming into Mexico. It was in fact way easier and faster than in normal times, as there were fewer vehicles and the immigration official didn't seem to want to get too close. I opted to go with Avanti's shuttle, as they can get a medical pass and go through the medical lane at the border. This means there's less of a line and the immigration official already knows why you were in Mexico. She asically only asked us if we were bringing back anything besides medicication. No, we did not declare the millions of plastic beads in our dicks ...

This is just to say that everything went smoothly going to Avanti during the pandemic. In some ways, it was actually easier.

Thank you for this detailed response @Jacks10. Last thing I wanted was go into an interrogation room and disclose my penis procedure. Shit would be awkward.

Excellent, man! I hope it goes well for you. Don't worry at all about the travel -- the airlines were kind of annoying (cutting down on routes, filling all flights to max capacity) -- but that's basically par for the course. Have fun -- hopefully more things will open up in TJ by then and there will be more to do.

Hey @GirthyGoals, I just got PMMA. I was interested about prp too but decided against it.

How long did it take to get from San Diego Airport to the medical center. Trying to figure out my flight times. And did you have to do a followup or anything the next day or were you able to leave the following morning

It is recommended to stay at least one full day post-procedure. I was actually planning to stay for a full 72 hours––the most crucial duration post op––but might cut it shorter since I see a lot of folks heading back home a lot sooner. My only concern if being able to message it in the plan and sanitation.

It's a pretty quick trip. Maybe 45 minutes. Going there is generally always pretty smooth. Coming back US immigration does a check and this can take an unpredictable amount of time. My first time coming back I sat in line at immigration for around 30 minutes. The second time maybe five. I'd give it at least a two hour travel window both way, a little more if possible. Flights can always arrive late on the way there and you can never know how long it will take at the border coming back.

I usually stay for two full days after the procedure and then leave the following day (so roughly 72 hours post procedure). By this time the entry points are for the most part closed up and the product isn't moving around as much. Unless you have a really short trip back home I'd recommend staying at least this long. It also gives Ian some more time to properly sculpt the penis, which is actually more difficult than it at first seems.

So lets say you have a procedure on Tuesday afternoon, do you recommend staying until Friday afternoon? Maybe leaving towards the night?

Yes, that's what I would do. Although I've never really gotten too particular with the time of the flight on the day of departure. I just make sure I get in two full days after the procedure, and this seems to be adequate. I know many other patients leave after one day or some even the next day, but I'd rather take a little time to be sure that I can do the aftercare properly.
